Went to the Manhattans night at Shayna tonight and what a total disaster. Having pre booked our table and also selection of food we cannot understand how incompetent they were. We had our starter and then over 2 hours later were still waiting for our main course. Other people around us were getting served, especially the locals, but we were totally ignored. Even the drinks we ordered did not arrive. Having requested to see the owner he did not have the guts to come and talk to us. We eventually saw a customer service rep and also the manager Engin who did come and talk to us and apologise but after 3 hours we didn't want the meal anyway.

What a shame as the Manhattans were really good but Shayna have done themselves a lot of damage tonight as we weren't the only ones treated so appallingly. We will definitely never go back there again!

What not even for the Manhattans ? you could always not eat next time ! We were in the same boat they run out of deserts but hay ho such is life..they were very busy and to be honest they must have done their very best..Fantastic night, great show..We never stopped dancing and we would do it all again.

The Manhatten's were brillliant and thanks to Laurence for bringing them over and we too did a good amount of dancing but

the service was diabolical, I'd like to think we were unlucky but due to this would never ever eat at Shayna again. Yes the food only cost 35TL but you do expect to eat for that price all we got was a starter. Yes I would go to Shayna again if I wanted to see someone but would eat elsewhere first and then go on there if I was desperate but would sooner attend a different venue if the said person/s were doing more than one show. I think the management there should attend a big function at the Rocks or the Golf course and get a few pointers on how to do things because the Rat Pack night ran like clockwork at the golf course and then go back and train their staff because the blame does not lie with the staff if they have not been trained properly. Anyway enough said, excellent show The Manhattens.

We have eaten at Shayna Beach 4 times previously to last night and the food has been very good, yes it was a shambles as we had to wait 1 hour just to get drinks, we had to place our food menu twice on the night (not forgetting that we had given our order on Monday night as well) but this would not put me off eating there again nor would it put me off seeing any further entertainment as it is a terrific venue.

Having said all that we would not go and see entertainment AND eat there again.

We were told that in the season they had 40 staff and now they are down to 15 plus a few extras they got in for last night.

Not good at all but the entertainment was absolutely fantastic and once again Laurence and the other organisers have given us another superb night of quality entertainment, so thank you to them and well done.

Corinne, It was a pity that the show was not at the Paradise so you could have watched the Show and Mick could have watched the Footie! Happy Days!

Thank you all for your kind words re the excellent Manhattans

RE the Shayna Beach the owner/management will hopefully learn from the food service debacle

I am sure the 'regulars' and friends who ate a la carte at the back of the restaurant did not wait 2 hours between courses...

When I signed up on this forum, I made a pledge to myself that if I could not say something good I would not say anything at all. So here goes....

The Manhattens.......... Were absolutely Fabulous. Once my wife was on the dance floor I could not get her off!!! Well done Lawrence and Co for arranging a fantastic act.

SHAYNA Beach Club.................... Well it has all been said in the above posts, Our table had to wait 1 hour for pre prepared Shrimp cocktail, and one and half hours for main course, Mary and I gave up on our main course has the Manhattens had started their show and that was what we had come to see. Mary spoke to Engin, and told him not be bother sending a bill for the 2 shrimp cocktails as he would not like the response that would follow it!!!!

GReat ACT. Shame Shayna let themselves down

Thanks for your comments. I want to mention something. You may complain about the speed of service and the quality of food. I can understand this.

But the comments like ''Other people around us were getting served, especially the locals, but we were totally ignored'' and ''I am sure the 'regulars' and friends who ate a la carte at the back of the restaurant did not wait 2 hours between courses...'' are not good words and not true. The two tables at upstairs had their main course at about 23:00 after all our customers came for Manhattans had their food.

At 22:00 All of our customers for Manhattan had their main course. We may be half an hour late for some our customers. I apologize from them. But to serve 3-course menu with 3 choices each, for 200 people in 2 hours from 20:00 to 22:00 is not too much time as the food are not pre-made. And I have to mention one more time that we do not do any discrimination between our customers. You are all important for us.

Best regards.

I would like to commend your chefs on the standard of food.I had the beef which was so tasty. My hubby had the fish and he said it was the best that he had since coming here.i.e.6 years.

I think the waiters worked extremely hard and under extreme pressure. Well done for putting on such a great show.We would certainly come again.regards Sue.
