Hi Groucho, yes thanks - I got an Email late last night and have been given a contact who lives out here - also -the organisers may now alter the music and put in different hymn instead of - The Lord Is My Shephard. I was going to contact you this morning, but you beat me to it. All the same - many thanks for the offer. MIKE

I must say I really like 'The Day Thou Gavest Lord Hath Ended' by Grimethorpe Colliery Band... Also Rick Wakeman's treatment of this Hymn in The Six Wives of Henry VIII was superb...

Hi Groucho - talking of brass bands - when I was a fireman in West Yorkshire - I was stationed for my last 15 years at Brighouse Fire Station, and as you know that is the home of the Brighouse and Rastrick brass band. When we on duty on night shift we would often go down for the fire inspections at the hall that they used to practice in. I have spent a lot of time listening to some absolutely fantastic musicians play their hearts out. Music that really lifted you. Yeah great times spent listening to some absolutel fantastic sounds. Just a few miles up the road from Brighouse, was the home of the Black Dyke Mills band. Now that was another great band to listen to. I have also listened them a few times during practice and after hearing them, it never surprised me that they were voted Britains top brass bass on many occasions.

Hey apc2010 - if you think that's bad - I am hoping to get a copy of the 1930's song, 'Happy Days Are Here Again' by the Ovaltinies - remember them. If I get it, I will play it on one of my shows towards the end of October. You'll be humming that til' next year..............................
