Hi Just wondered whether anyone has tried this restaurant, if so what do you think. Saw their menu when it was first meant to be opened in May and it looked impressive, think it opened a couple of weeks ago, any feedback much appreciated.

Well the sign leading up to it is still saying Opening Soon. I am sure if they were open that banner would come down.

I'm sure there was a posting on here over the last couple of days from someone who had visited. Excellent place, apparently.

I read an article about this place when in Cyprus last week sounded like a place to visit but c--p article did not advise us visitors where it is located..may be ok for locals but us infrequent travellers find it difficult to establsh where places are with the very poor mapping

Hi: Went there last night. Don't officially open until 20 October but they are accepting limited bookings until then. Breath of fresh air as far as service and quality of food is concerned. Friendly staff and good service and definitely the best meal we have had here. Portions are not big but certainly sufficient. Definitely value for money.

i recieved a series of texts last nite from a friend who was there having dinner, they went as follows Mother of God I am at Steves place. The food is very good. You got to come and try. Bits of it are really superb. ...... the carrot puree is the best I ever had in my life. he has real skill .... How did you hear the food was really good? Cyprus 44? Club Ilgaz made it to 44. Surprised Alsancak Jack did'nt moan about price and lack of chips! I swear to God that's the first dessert that brought tears to my eyes in many years I swear , ask ---- I actually cried There were other texts from my friend that nite but were inappropriate to put on 44 as its a family publication !! I have also had a call from another well known local chef this week who recons its 'the nutz' Andre & Marcos will be dining there in the very near future Suffice to say, it looks like The International Club in Ilgaz is worth a visit

Have eaten there and we are going back twice this month for celebrations. I have to say the best food I have had anywhere on the island. Great service, relaxed atmosphere and food that you won't see on other menus over here. highly recommend! Not the cheapest place around (I wouldn't expect it to be) but not overpriced and very good value for money. turn off the main Girne to Lapta road opp Mambos, follow the road up the hill and it's on the right

With you there AlsancanJack, if you pay those prices you would expect, in fact demand first class food. Go to any of Riaz's restaurants and you'll pay 17 tl for a two course meal on Sunday..superb!! If you've been moved to tears I would suggest you've got too much chilli in your meal or you need a long appointment with a 'shrink'. Wish ICI at Ilgas well though!!

Hi Parkview, At the time of ash clouds on Europe I wanted to return to TRNC, and my research got me to a very good site called "seat 61". It would help to have a look at: http://www.seat61.com/Europe.htm Regards Mac
