Today started at 06:30 Kaplika to Turtle bay 24 Miles, Actual walking time 7:34

Some beatiful sights again today, churches, vistas Wildlife, Hunters drinking Whisky while Hunting

Walk really tough today all road work feet torn up pretty bad, podiatrist calling on us tonight to sort out feet hopefully.

Big thanks to Bryn and Handan for taking us in for the night and feeding us. a huge thanks to all the people that supported us on route at the end and all the flag flying, to pass time today we tried to think of suitable songs to compile as CD for memories, Eg, Walking on broken glass, the long winding road any suggestions

Please support British servicemen visit.

Thanks Karen

Great job boys! Song suggestion:

He Ain't Heavy He's My Brother - "the road is long with many awaiting turns..." Neil Diamond

Just like to say that Amanda is still working on Simon's feet! I have not seen anything like this since my forces days, his blisters are raw yet he is still determined to go on again tomorrow for this great cause. Both Gary & Simon deserve all the praise possible. I shall post some photos of their feet tomorrow on facebook and tag the lads on them just to show what they are actually walking on! It's not a pretty sight!!!! Hope the whiskey & codeine & ibrufen & paracetemol & efes & anti inflammatory's and everything else is working ok! Good luck tomorrow, I have a feeling the first mile will be interesting.

Cheers Bryn

Hi Inci53 - they set off every morning around 6am.

Bryn - in over 20 years working on feet I haven't seen many blisters like these. I'm so proud of them both for continuing what is proving to be a serious challenge. They are a true inspiration. Many thanks to you and Handan.

Simon and Gary - keep going!

Well done Simon and Gary, me and the missus just joined them at Supreme in Catalkoy and walked about a mile and a half to Erdener with them, christ knows what the rest of the walk today would feel like which is too Karsiyaka square! The most frightening thing of it all was the oncoming traffic, quite a few near misses in just that little stretch that we were on, Gary told me that somewhere along the journey a lorry brushed Simon's rucksack! Bloody well done boys and see you at the Light house tomorrow.

The guys are about an hour away from Karsiyaka square so if you can make it there at about 5pm to welcome them home that woul be great, if not how about 6am tomorrow to see them on their way.
