Has any tried Uran Satellite in Nicosia - it was claimed they were the REAL operation and that Dopi were a 'franchise'

No improvement in service , we are not getting any pay to view channels and have not had for the last 2 weeks or so.



We will not be renewing with Dopi at the end of the month when our contract runs out.



But still dont know which system to get next, which company have people gone with when they have changed

Previously I have been one of Dopi's biggest supporters but I have just text Namik requesting a refund.



Too many broken promise's resulting in lost credibilty.



He promised that coverage of the Ashes would be available but typically its not.



I suspect this is all about money and is not related to any technical issue's.



Its a greatl pity because it was a good package and I did have a lot of time for Namik but his business is going dow the pan and Dopi are perhaps the worst company on the Island.

We changed months ago to Digiturk. OK it is not the all singing all dancing system with the variety of English programmes, but as we are not really that interested in watching TV it suits us fine. We get 2 movie channels, plus BBC, Al-Jazeera, CNN news channels.....kids channels, sports channels, BBC Documentary channels.......and pay extra for hubby to have his premier league channel.



All costs 72 Lira initially for a year's contract, then 36 Lira per month for the channels. They used the dishes and cabling from Dopi so there was no other charge for connection. They came out same day to set it up. We have been very pleased with it so far, and hubby not walking round like one of the 7 dwarfs (Grumpy!) due to freezing during his football match. Ok, it doesn't have European cup matches very often - I think only if Turkey is involved, but it is enough for us. Depends how much TV you want to watch, but there are other packages available from Digiturk that include more.

Waiting for a phone call for our money

We have gone with a company that advertise in Cyprus Today

and no problems whar so ever its great
