...well, what a weekend actually!

In place of the cancelled 112 Rock Extravaganza, the lads at the Courtyard in Ozankoy and local rock band Pear put together 2 nights of fundraising food and entertainment.

I was lucky enought to be there on Saturday and I have to say it was fantastic. The place was packed and the diners certainly enjoyed the meal - the boys at the restauarant did a great job. Pearl were excellent. They are a great bunch of guys with big hearts and a real flair for entertaining. They've got a great sound and just give their all! If you've not seen them play, do it.

During the 2 nights, front man Tel stepped aside to introduce a young Welsh performer called Jonnie Hawkins. Jonnie's energy and talent really appealed to the crowd and Pearl did an amazing job of backing him. The combination was awsome!

I am hoping to get some footage on You Tube in the next couple of days. As soon as I do, I'll post the link.

In the meatime I'll just say a big thank you to the Courtyard, Pearl and to Jonnie for giving their all to raise money for 112 - and of course to all the people that went along to support the cause.

If anyone wants contact details for Pearl or Jonnie, drop me a line.
