Has anyone traveled trhought the Greek Border into Turkey? Has there been any problems that we need to be aware of? Obviously we're not going to say we're then traveling on through to the TRNC

lippylush,

your post makes you sound very worried about crossing the border i can tell you now that there will be no problems.we have crossed the border on many ocassions at metehan and have found the border patrol very friendly indeed.just remember that you will need to ourchase seperate car insurance for the t.r.n.c.and you will given a piece of paper (visa) which you will sign.and present back on your return.it sounds to me as though the greek propaganda machine has been working overtime regarding the border crossings. have a good trip and keep in touch.

Think that She means the Greece/Turkey border as opposed to those here.

i live in turkey aswell north cyprus and know many people traveling who have come thru the greece border to turkey from the u.k and they have not had any problems

depending on what you are doing if you are visiting greece or if you are driving to go to north cyprus you dont even have to go thru greece you can go thru bulgaria or even drive down to italy get the boat across to turkey then go thru to north cyprus

Hi.

We are intending to drive from mainland Greece to Turkey then Ferry to North Cyprus then drive into South Cyprus.

Any info would be greatly appreciated.

We would have camping and personal holiday equipment with us but am a little concerned about value of goods we can take accross border.

Ferries from Athens & Rhodes seem to proportionally expensive.

We have visited Soutern Cyprus several times & have friends there but have never been to North Cyprus before. We Leave UK on 1st April!!!!!

Looking forward to the sunshine, John & Hazel
