I have spoken with Bulgarian customs and as long as you have all docs in your name there is no problem with entering Bulgaria.

I think if you are in an EU country you have about 6 months to register your car. So you can drive for 6 months then you need to pay taxes and register there.

If you paid taxes on the car at purchase, or if you paid at import then take all your docs, and it should be ok, with minimal to pay.

I think if your planning to stay there you need to register it when you arrive?

If in doubt email the Bulgarian consulate and ask for confirmation.
