Hi, just wondering if the dogs here are susceptible to heart worms from the mosquito bites? If so does anyone know if any of the vets test for heartworm?

Thanks

@ msg 1, whataview: Yes, dogs in TRNC have the risk of being infected by heart worms - and it often is a deadly meeting. My vet in Holland warned us when we moved to TRNC. We had the dog (a Dobermann Pinscher) injected and he's still fine.

Thanks DutchCrusader, will look into it to see if they have any preventative medicine here.
