TWO years after the disaster in Haiti: only half of the internationally promised money (4.5 billion US Dollars) has been made available. TWO years after the disaster in Haiti: 500,000 people still live in tents. TWO years after the disaster in Haiti: there are more than 8,000 (eight thousand!) aid organisations 'active' in the island of Haiti without any coordination whatsoever...

P.S. Breaking news: heavy earth quake in the Indonesian island of Sumatra. So there we go again?

If they can't organise relief efforts in Haiti,(with 8000 organisations ) God help us here in the case of an Earthquake ..Who would we as an" Unrecognised Country" turn to ?...

@ msg 2: What do you, in your London apartment, know about the people in (Northern) Cyprus that donated money? Stick to your quotes from the Sun and Daily Mail. And your silly, useless questions in any thread you open.

honestly! Dutchcrusader..........you've been Bailey'd again.

Where on earth can you go on this forum without posting a pertinent topic of conversation, without someone called Phil Bailey (lovely chap as he is......) interupting your thread of conversation.

Bailey! You are like a little 8 year old boy and deserve a good bottom spanking.

Now stop it!

Go out and play in the road.

Post edited , " go out and play on the road " ??? , not a nice comment , you don't have to respond to philbaileys posts. .......... Simbas

An exchange road

or legally owned road

If you only want positives

I suggest you join D/Cs forum

I have the upmost respect for his knowledge and photos

on Cyprus but just find his attitude "strange"

If you get chance look at some of his posts/photos on the no-mands land/border

I never knock his historical threads

and find them interesting

Bailey,

Preferably the M25, there's a really nasty bit near Kent travelling West I seem to remember.

It isn't a personal thing is it? You do it on every thread where you can stick an unwanted oar in.

You've been told off on numerous occasions for it, just desist. It may be difficult but perhaps deep breaths and practice in the mirror (to begin with)

being polite. (I know it sounds strange but sometimes people like that sort of thing...............).

I do wonder why on earth you spend night after night picking rows on here with people when you are a 42 year old man, living near London, you should be out living your life instead of annoying people over the internet.

Who cares who owns the road, it's not about ownership, it's way past that, it's about living side by side with people without starting a row just because you disagree with someone.

Post edited , "preferably the M25 , there is a nasty bit near kent travelling west i seem to remember " was that really necessary your implications are uncalled for ........... Simbas

Way in the past

your quote

so if your family were forced to move

when you were 5 and lost everything (your age in 74)

on either side

it would be "way in the past"

I think not

Hans I'll tell you what's even worse - It's been stated that loads of the money ($30m) sent to Japan to help following the tsunami has been diverted to provide security for their whaling fleet! Haiti has third-world problems that it would seem no amount of money will address (usual corruption and inability to channel the funds adequately) but a modern country like Japan - what are they doing with a move like this?

Why are we surprised about monies given that does not reach those in need, its been happening for years in African countries,we could have a Bob Geldorf swearing at us on a weekly basis but nothing will stop people that are in a position to siphon money, they will, be it to fund warfare or their own greed.
