Hello to all,

newbie here. I use to have a eBay account in the UK. My business back home has fallen on hard times and I'm desparate to supplement my income. I use to have a good business on eBay and when I went back to my account (which I haven't logged into for many years) it was permanently blocked. This was due to some items not being received all those years ago. Personally I think I got scammed as I received no emails to indicate that there had been a problem. If I try to open up a new account eBay now have certain software that would link my details to this old suspended account and kick me off.

Anyway, to cut to the chase. I'm looking for another eBay account I can buy off someone. You would of course oversee the wiping of all your own private information etc. It must have at least 50 positive feedback and no negative feedback. I would obviously pay a good finders fee.

Thank You, Chris

"permanently blocked. This was due to some items not being received all those years ago."

And now you want to buy etc..?!

DC, msg 2. What as this post got to do with you, why do you have to poke your nose in to everthing on this forum with your snide remarks. Are you looking for a position on the Forum Admin, or have you just run out of the silly remarks you have been making about Al August Jnr.

@ msg 3, dap3081: You are right (anyway you want it). But who is Al August Jnr? Let me guess: a son of Al August Snr..?!

Chris,

Due to the large amount of scams that do the rounds, especially to do with eBay, I don't think that anyone would want to get involved in such a thing... I can only suggest that you contact a member of your family back in the UK and get them to open up an account and once it is up and running they can give you the login details and away you go.... simples! I am sure that you must have someone back home that can do that for you.

Hi justchris,

looks like your post has got hi-jacked. You can blame DutchCrusader for that he is forever poking his nose in where it's not wanted with his snide, and silly remarks.

Thanks for getting back LaptaGezzer. One of the main reasons why I am not asking any friends or relatives, back home, is none of them have enough feedback. To start a business from 'almost scratch' again is very difficult and time consuming. The more feedback ergo the more 'trust' associated with it (which is ironic). Though my previous eBay business was 'good' my full-time professional job took over. Running both things alongside each other was difficult and then became impossible, due to the amount of time that was needed.

I'm not quite sure what 'scams' have been perpetrated, but I am not expecting someone just to give me a ebay account without proper discussion, vetting, meeting and the exchange of my details. If you scrape out all personal details from a account, close the associated paypal account, then those details can't be restored. Personally I can't see what's 'scam-like' about it.

I would appreciate any replies to be on topic please!

Thanks, Chris

Back to the original posting...its against ebay rules to transfer a/c's to another person, you have to gain permission from ebay first. I would suggest you open a new a/c and start trading again. Its quite simple, or contact ebay and ask if the old a/c can be re-instated.

There are plenty of scams related to eBay Chris... not along the lines of what you are suggesting, I am not saying that at all. I recently had an email from them, and it was genuine, to say I needed to change my password as it looked like someone had managed to get into my account.. I changed it and all is fine, and there are plenty of 'bogus' eBay emails and things flying about. That is what I meant.

I hope you manage to acheive what you need... and excuse the 'fishy' puns that have found their way into your thread...

justchris the whole point of ebay's trading history is that it provides a record of that persons trading history (buying or selling). What you want is to trade using the history of someone else and the very concept undermines the whole point of having a trading history at all. If I am looking to buy something from you and see out of last hunders sales 99 people were happy with buying from you it means something of value only if those previous slaes actual were from you. If that history is in fact from someone else then its pointless and meaningless to me as a buyer and thats why ebay do not allow this sort of thing.

As for removing / changing personal details of an ebay account, though I have never tried it, I doubt you can just change the first name / last name details on an account at will. Also whilst you canhge deatils and the previous ones will not be avilable to you as the new user, the old details will be oin record with ebay.

I am sorry to be so 'negative' about this but it seems to me that the whole idea of buying someone else's trading history so you can pass it off as your own is at best deeply flawed and at worst deeply dubious.

I personaly think the best advise has already been given, either start afresh or contact ebay about what is needed to get your old account activated again.
