Just been browsing in the Index web site and seen a few things of interest. However, when I've done the conversion to pounds a nice (but only 'nice') funky braille type wall clock works out at £703! Yikes.... and er, yikes again! So, is it a typo, mathematical error on my part or are clocks ridicuously expensive in the North? could be a great new business!!

Not quite certain what a "funky braille-type wall clock" is, but even in Cyprus most standard wall clocks (with non-protuding bits, that is) cost less, often well less, than 100 TL.

thanks Harriet, that was why I was querying the price quoted with my convesion (2.83) OR whether there was a typo error. naturally, there could even be another explanation....
