Well done Liverpool. they deserved the match because they played as if they wanted the ball more than Man City. They took the first half by a mile but were matched in the second half. The penalty they were awarded was NEVER a penalty but overall they deserved the overall win. (And that'd from an ardent Man city supporter. !

Well said Gerry,

Yes Liverpool played as if they wanted it more and a Wembley Final beckons.

Lets hope we can make it a double over both Manchester Clubs this weekend.

Agree Liverpool played better, but had City got the penalty they should have had in first half and gone in lead, with Adam being booked or sent off for kicking Dzeko then city going 2 - 0 up then Liverpool may have given up.

Maybe 'Dalglish' signed up the ref like 'Man Utd' must have done when 'Kompany' got wrongly sent of in F A Cup.

Also, do the F A not hundred per cent consider things correctly, Kompany I believe was wrongly punished for 4 games, and even Balotelli 4 game ban should have been looked into properley, admittedly appeared to stamp on Parker, but was it a stamp or was it just they way he was balancing himself as he was being pushed by Modric as he was on one leg after the tackle?

You need to go to spec savers Japeal.Balotelli commited a cowardly act when he stamped on Parker. He knew exacly what he was doing, even rolling over after he had commited this despicable act.The grin on his face, soon afterwards, says it all for me.And then he goes on and scores the winner. The coward shouldnt even have been on the pitch,

There can't be an organization anywhere in the world that leaves itself open to ridicule because of a refusal to change daft laws than the FA. Morally Balotelli should have received a ban but not if the laws had been applied correctly. Howard Webb saw the incident but from his angle didn't deem it worthy of a red. To be fair not many players or supporters picked it up either. Having seen it again from other angles and in slow motion he obviously knew he should have sent Balotelli off but couldn't admit that otherwise he'd have got away with it. Hence he has to trot out the " I didn't see it " routine. Its nonsense. If the FA don't want to bring in replays at the time to get decisions right then it should at least bring in a system to put players on report as they do in Rugby League or citation powers similar to Rugby Union.

ive seen the stamping and it looks like a stamping but i cant decide if he is just off balance and kicks out to regain his balance.

i suppose mud sticks with his rep

fair play to parker i dont rate him as a player but he never complained and isnt afraid to get in where it hurts

getting a bit fed up of man city now the manager is really irritating especially in interviews !!

I said he appeared to stamp on Parker, but look in the Cyprus today paper Yesterday, Modric is seen pushing Balotelli while he is recovering from his tackle. Not disputing that he may have stamped delibrately, but F A never gave a review on it, Ref stated he did not see it but on TV he is seen seeing it. Yes if someone is seen doing wrong punish but it should be discussed not decided without even challaning the player. The player cannot appeal as if he looses he gets banned for longer, yet he should be allowed to state what he did or did not do.

The FA act as judge jury and executioner in appeals. The failure rate in appeals is 96%. Japeal is right in what his says but until the system changes what's the point?

Mancini always gives honest answers when interviewed and having been at all of the recent games which have caused controversy he's been spot on with his comments.
