The weasel has done it again 'sneering at Britain saying 'you have no industry'

We are still giving 280 million each year to India that is the second thing that should be done the first is to blow up the tunnel.

As a protest I shall stop drinking French wine and eating camembert.

I hope Italy stuffs them at the weekend.

Does India not have a nuclear programme ?

and a space programme ?

which is classified by the World Bank as a middle income country (MIC)

and whose economy is growing at nearly 10% a year.

So right

We give hundreds of millions to Pakistan whose population still appear desperately poor - where does this money go ? The Pakistanis still appear able to spend millions on nuclear and conventional weapons.

We also give aid to Brazil who have just overtaken us as the 6th largest economy in the world !!! Lunatics and asylum springs to mind !!

Hippo,I had succesful stationery companies in Wales, until the Welsh Assembly were ordered by the English Government to go to tender for lowest prices. There were only cheating French companies who could tender

I haven't drank French wine,or bought anything French for 5 years.

So disgusted by the Welsh Assembly Government. The French farmers boycotted Welsh sheep imports for years.

No wonder UK and Wales have little manufacturing left.

Good news, they got me to Cyprus earlier than planned

Question of price - the Brits were more expensive, why should the Pakistanis pay over the odds, we get upset if OUR Government pays over the odds.

Went to tender, the Brits lost. Sad, but tough.

Simples.

It's about time we did what many countries do and only give aid in kind. Trucks, Made in GB. JCBs Made in GB. Food, produced in GB, and so on. We could even give military planes, Made in GB.

No cash just home produced goods. Carried in UK registered ships manned by UK seafarers. Ask the Yanks or the French how they do it.

The French were bragging for years that their end of the Channel tunnel had the infrastructure for high speed train travel into Paris in minutes whilst the British had nothing between Dover and London. I think we had it absolutely right. Let the toads who use eau de cologne instead of soap, eat frogs legs, stink of garlic, adorn bicycles with onions etc, exit the tunnel at Dover, have one circular trip around the M25, then piss off back to France !

The French are not to blame for the demise of our manufacturing and you all know it!!

It's crap management, short termism, lack of investment and a succession of incompetent governments of all parties since the war.

Stop blaming the rest of the world for our decline - it's the very attitudes exhibited on this site which have caused the problem over the years.
