Where can i but ribbons/ trimmings??

Does anyone know where i can buy ribbon and buttons. Not present wrapping sort, but real haberdashery ribbon.



Please give directions if there are any such shops, Girne or Nicosia

Yes you can buy them from a small shop down the main street in Girne. Sorry but I don't know the name but walking from the top of the main street, on the left hand side of the road and past the Resat jewellers/Limassol Bank junction it is not very far down from there. It is a long narrow shop that also sells some clothing. I bought red satin ribbon from there last December.

msg 2. They sell wool too I bought some there for £2.79 a ball here in UK £4.99 a ball. I saw it in UK made in Turkey so waited until I was in NC and found it there and in Lefkosa.

There are 2 nearly adjacent shops in Lefkosa very near to the Locmaci crossing which sell only knitting/sewing products. I can't give exact directions - it is too long since I was there; but as you approach the border (and in sight of it) there is a sort of sitting area in the middle of a 4/5 way pedestrian area with a wooden signpost. The shops are close to this.
