| yes without a doubtif its just holiday money, if its to deposit a large sum, banks will normally advise you to put into sterling account untill rate goes up |

| mint1955 - yes you would expect a better rate once you get here. If anyone wants an up to date rate and have a turkcell phone you can get the rate immediately by texting the letters :

"Kimono" trader says 2009 year to buy Aussie, lira

TOKYO, Jan 23 (Reuters) - Japan's best-known retail currency trader, a housewife who made 800 million yen ($9 million) on the dollar, euro and pound, says although markets are volatile it may be a good year to buy the Australian dollar and Turkish lira.
Nicknamed the "kimono trader" by Japanese media, 61-year-old Yukiko Ikebe has written a book called "The secret of FX" |
