This is the headline from the Mail on Sunday's propery pages. Unlike before this is not an advertising feature. It is sub headed "British investors are finding they get more for their Turkish lira over the border". It compares property prices with those in the south & balances peace & quiet with Ayia Napa. It mentions the "Palms" development, which is Bogaz. It balances views about a settlement with a "We've been here before" viewpoint from Jacqui Ashworth from Ian Smith's agency, she also states that there is a huge amount of development not all good & not all finished. It finishes with & this is something we have been hearing for years. Direct flights are desperately needed. Lifting the embargo will transform the whole economy at a stroke.

Jacqui and Ian Smith's as far as I am concerned are the best on the island and my feeling is that if you cannot trust them then you cannot trust any-one. If I had to buy or sell property again in the TRNC then Ian Smith would be my first port of call.

How do you tell when an estate agent or solicitor is lying - when their lips are moving!!!!!!!!!

I have to say that I was quite impressed by Ian Smith's. Back in Sept I rang them to arrange some viewings while I was in NC. I explained that I had absolutely no intention of buying any property yet as it was my first visit and I just wanted to get a "feel". I was still treated as a potential customer for half a day looking at 6 properties and not just someone who might be looking for a free tour round the villages. I went to them on reccommendation of a friend who has a property in NC.

Have got the Mail on Sunday but not got round to reading it yet but will do so soon.
