Just wanted someone to advise on the following:

Received note from lawyer to say documents for transfer title are ready and transfer tax has been given at 0.75% (discount available until 9th April 2009).

Along with all the other fees to be paid does this mean the property/land is in our name.

Does this have any standing to be paying this final amount rather than NOT? Having paid outright for the property 3 years ago.

Is it better to have the final docs??? in the event of all going t*ts up?

Thx for replies in advance.

Yes once you have payed transfer fee the Kocan (Deeds) can be transfered to your name , transfer cannot take place until transfer fee is paid.

Thx Cooper for replyin.

The discount was applied so all seems fair there.

Do you think that owning is better than not having the deeds in the long run?

thx

Hi Lee, I see that your a "Bobby".

What is your take on the comments of some board members that are suggesting we have "stolen" GC land ?

I wondered as an upstanding Brit what your thoughts were.
