I am not sure if they are working up lapta end but they definitely working Catalkoy and they do not flash that is the old type all done digitally. I got caught at the border today with a speeding fine that was for the 28th August, so they are way behind in processing them.

you have to go to your local police station or when you go over any boarder or try to leave the country you will have to pay your fines and go to court to get your endorsments my friend tryied to go to the south a while ago and learned he had 17 tickets his fine was in the thousands and he got a 6 month band so beware

if you're driving within the speed limit - it doesn't matter if they work / don't work or flash / don't flash!!

correct they don't flash, go to the police station, ask the traffic department if you have any outstanding fines, just tell them your licence plate number and they can check the computer for you.

They don't care who was driving!- although if you can remember, and produce the culprit, they will happliy penalise them instead!

sorry don't have the info re penalties and points, but I'm sure that it is posted somewhere - try a 'search' perhaps?

Do not forget also that when you come to road tax your car you will get a discount if you have no motoring discrepancies for the last year (and bigger discounts for each extra year of staying out of trouble)

I have a collection of six speeding tickets with 25 points each but I have not paid anything. I am eagerly awating for court papers to go to court but I am not sure if they will ever call me to court

I went to the south side a few times and nobody asked me anything and nobody cang get any money off me unless I am found guilty in court!!!

However if they don't have your address correctly and they are unable to deliver the speeding tickets, then you are marked on the computer and you have to go to the nearest police station and sign the relevant papers.

Firestarter,

You better start a new fire. Here we gain points. If you gain 100 points within 15 months (it used to be 18 months) you lose your license and also you lose 100 points. Once 15 months is up you start afresh with zero points. The starting point for the 15 month period is the beginning date of first points you gain. If you ever get 100 points for a second time, your lisence is taken away for six months and at each time it doubles.

Goodness Ismet,

They do like to make it complicated , don't they?

BTW, I could have sworn that your avatar had a hat on - must have been the woolly collar that distracted me!

Going back to the orignal post, yes the camera by Celebrity in Lapta is working. Someone I know well got presented with 6 tickets from that camera just before Christmas. Some of those "offences" were a good 6 months old. The other one she got was for the camera by the Laughing Buddha.
