To digress slightly, Come ON, mods - no one else is taking this very seriously... How many posters are there called Keith? - and how many from Hull? 'cos that's where I'm from originally, Newland Avenue, Chanterlands Ave, Bransholme, Beverley Road, Lake Drive (No.9 - painted Red and White!), before moving out to South Cave, and then steadily down the country, before I fell off the edge and came here. Used to work on Hessle road, moved workshop to Boulevard (and painted it Red and White!). Left in 1990 after about 30 years. Keith.

Dodger, Having been deprived of your basic freedoms of life by your wholly unjustified incarceration I need to bring you up to speed. Juliet is Suzanne. Macha is Pikey. That is the reason that the board has started to be torn apart again. Why cannot members have their own opinions, without being brow beaten, by the dull and ignorant.? Most members have expressed their views. Balanced or otherwise, they have had their say. Talat and Christophias have the chair. Their decision may be final, and it may go to a referendum. So be it!.. Few of us would admit it but, we have been shafted by `the `trnc `government. They have issued worthless paper, and called it legitimate title deeds. They have raised taxes on the back of what must be called a multi million pound SCAM!. They have an opportunity to redeem the reputation of The Turkish Nation. Will they? I think that I speak on behalf of the silent majority. I was hoodwinked!

I bought in good faith. I bought a holiday home on what I was told was exchange land. I may well be naive but exchange to me was just that. I had been bought up to believe my solicitors and even Estate agents. Certainly the Government. But boy was I hoodwinked. I now find myself in a horrendous situation. I have to rely on a Government that frankly having used me, care not. Mr Talat, I have supported your Government. I have paid my taxes. I supported your frail economy with my regular visits to The TRNC. Its your call! We cared and we shared. We are just as much a part of the TRNC as you are. We have no say on your current agenda. You my friend need to think long and hard. We have been your friends, and we make good friends, but equally make very bad enemies. Please treat us with the respect THAT WE HAVE EARNED. Everyone in this most unfortunate scenario, seeks peace, We accept that your priority is CYPRIOTS.

Musim, As previously stated, I have every respect for you.(and your fellow man) I take note of your loyalty to TCs and your love of Cyprus as an island. With due respect, I think that you are wrong. IMHO there will be a settlement of sorts. Cyprus as an island needs to be reunited (in whatever form) It belongs to The Cypriots, and to allay yours fears the GCs will not be allowed to ride roughshod over The TCs, The EU will never allow that. Cyprus is for The Cypriots, but it will be under the protective banner of the EU. Pikey ,Suzanne, and the other multi personality posters will be seen for what they are purveyeyors of dissent, and little else. Even the dull and ignorant, they too have their story! Take care my honourable friend. It is people like you, that seek to make this a better world. wyn

McSteviet, Not a 'Yellow Belly'? Wyn, 1) I'm not sure that Mr T actually reads this forum - have you thought that perhaps a well composed letter (petition?) supported by many signatures might be a better way to get his attention? NOT that, as previously mentioned, he can be presumed to give a Damn. 2) I thought you said in an earlier thread that you weren't naive, merely 'trusting' 3) Didn't you actually do ANY homework at all on the land issue before you bought? - or did you buy on impulse at the behest of a stranger, while in a rosy after-dinner glow? - please ignore that last bit - I was being satirical, if not downright sarcastic, not a nice trait, I know... Keith.

Keithcaley. I have spent my life trusting my fellow man, and of course on many occasions have been badly let down. On balance, I believe that my judgement has been rewarded. I have travelled to a good number of countries, and have never sought the advise of my Government. It has served me well. I have little fear that my openness will be respected in this situation also. I think Mr Talat is basically an honourable man. I have no doubt that he will seek grass roots opinion and were better an internationally acknowledged site as Cyprus 44. I am 63 years of age, and I have had a good life. I respect my fellow man, and fortunatley do not have the arrogance of youth, wherin you trust no one. All men count with me, but none too much. Despite the collective anxiety that is proliferating around The Reuinification talks, I retain my view that most people, and in that I include Mr Talat, are decent honourable people. Only time will tell. Have an Efes1 wyn

re msg 30 AJ Hi Dave, you must have KNOWN I respond to this one ;).. I remember when Mr Denktash was the spokesperson for TCs, but when ECHR decisions got too "uncomfortable" for TR - like a TC Dr. winning the right to cross the "green line" - the "gates got opened".. It doesn't matter who wins the TC elections - for all the hype we hear/ read.. the leaders of their "tribes" WILL talk and deals will be done. If anything, the recession makes it more likely.. It costs a lot of money to run "TRNC" ..

| Wynyardman, Re message 49, Thankyou i think people have the right to post opinion and debate but the key is to allow ones views to be challenged and discussed. People like her just rant on and on as if they are right and everybody else is wrong and inferior but by the quality of her postings it is clearly not the case.
