Hi, having trouble getting my machine to locate my preferred opening web page always use http://www.bbc.co.com, but it keeps coming up with http://www.bbc.co.uk/apache2-default/ even if I retype http://www.bbc.co.uk it defaults back to /apache2-default. Anyone know why?

Hi japeal re msg 1

There is no such url " http://www.bbc.co.com/"

Can't test it as I'm in the UK at the mo, but if you type http://www.bbc.co.uk/

*I* get the BBC home page..

What do you get if you do this:

1/ go to a command prompt.. in windows start, run, open, type "cmd" - without the " "'s and click open

2/ type "nslookup bbc.co.uk" and press enter.. what do you se ?

3/ type "nslookup bbc.co.com" what do you get ?

I need you to tell me what results you get including the ip addresses.

*might* help ...

Think japeal has got it wrong. BBC address is http://www.bbc.co.uk or if you use - http://www.bbc.co.uk/ I get there using either.
