...when I move to Cyprus with work (in March, I think it will be) what happens at the weekends? The reason I ask is this. At the moment my weekends are taken up with seeing my daughter and family, and I know I'm going to be feeling lost when I can't do this when I move out there. So, what would you people who are living there recommend to keep me busy between Friday night and Monday morning?

Sensible - or, what the hell, barking mad - answers only, please.

Go exploring the Island, there is plenty of things to see and do. Will you be on your own?

I suppose it depends on two things.

Where you are

How old you are

Hi Tony. Here's quite a sensible answer for a change.Been here since September. If Lapta way,go to Chateau Lamboussa for some Good English Food,eg Cornish pasties,it's a nice change.

It's like a car boot sale.Lots of Brits to meet.

Once a month Amanda's auctions,view Saturday,buy Sunday.

I've got big garden to do,so Garden Centres are a must, check which closing down.and grab a bargain

Once in March,warmer weather,so plan a barbie!!!

Hi Tony,

Have you looked at the Weekly Diary in the Entertainments section of Cyprus Today? This shows regular events and may be of use. The Kibris Star also shows forthcoming events.

If you enjoy the theatre, then during the year there is entertainment at the Barons' Theatre, Chateau Lambousa, Lapta.

Drama group TheatreLambousa is performing 2 one act plays on March 12th,13th and 14th "Hurrah for Mrs Hickson" and "Last Respects".

If you enjoy musicals then ChorusLambousa is performing songs from the shows with its extravaganza - "Rhythm of Life". Dates 30th April, 1st and 2nd May.

Previous shows by TL and CL have been sell outs and customers come from as far afield as the Karpaz!
