Some sad news for all you Folk, blues and jazz people, Guitarist and songwriter John Martyn passed away this morning. He was 60 years old and an amazing musician and artist.

I had the pleasure of seeing him in Concert on 3 occassions and was at His farewell Concert at the Royal Albert hall.

A great loss to the music world.

He used to come and stay at my mates place whenever he came up to play in the area in the mid seventies, he had a great sense of humor loved a pint and a spliff, but more than anything else he was a genuine feet on the floor bloke, I for one will miss him tremendously.

Re Mess 4 I also went to the Colston Hall a couple of years back to see Van the Man and the sound was bloody awful upstairs , really disappointing.

Ajaney,

He certainly lived life to the full.I am surprised that he lasted as long as he did,
