New members have 1 day to verify their email addresses.



Existing members have until 28 February to verify their email addresses.



As of today, there is a problem sending email to Hotmail users (some 800 members). I already emailed the hosting company and they will probably fix it in a few days time (although it might not last long). So, Hotmail users might not get the verification email although their email address is correct.

I think Hotmail.co.uk works fine, but not Hotmail.com.



Hotmail.com users - pls try again in a few days time.

Looks like I'm a bad risk as tried last night and got reply twice with no code on the email, know get code but when I enter it this is the reply,

Graham - your email address is verified already. No worries.



Once you verify your email address, if you click on the link again, the system will tell you that your verification code is not correct.



This is because, we delete your old verification code once you verified to save database space.

If you look at your profile and then look at your e-mail address, underneath it will say whether your e-mail address has been verified or not. I am not sure of the lead times for the update of your personal profile but my guess is that it is automated and should take no longer than a few minutes.

Aj - Actually, only mods see that info

So we know that when we email someone, it will get there.

Whereas if it is not verified, then there is a chance that it's a fake email address.



When members verify their email address, they can no longer change their email address in "Edit Member Info" page as instead of a text box, the email address is displayed as text.



If members really want to change their email address, they need to email me off board from the email address they want to change to. Nevertheless, I really do hope that this will be done when really needed.

Hotmail email send problem seems to be fixed now.



If you use Hotmail and you have not received an email, try checking your Junk Mail folder. It's probably there.
