What a lot of miserable people there are on this forum. Some are very aggresive and manage to turn evey post into a slanging match mostly completely irrespective of the subject of the post. They seem to have their own agenda.Some of the moderators don't seem to be any better. Things in North Cyprus aren't what they used to be. I'm sure most of these people have strayed to the wrong country and would be more at home in Benidorm. I pity the poor Cypriots. I await the hate mail !

I agree that things have deteriorated on this forum. It was interesting and informative to read comments on the forum at one time, but in recent months there are many silly comments, which after a while make you less want to visit the site. Maybe that is what some people want to achieve - to discredit the site.

We agree with you Lottie. The miserable people need to get themselves better lives instead of sitting in front of computers all day slagging people off. Enjoy your life, it's a once only life and you will be a long time dead. Smile at everyone, you will soon see a difference.

I agree, though we're relatively new here, have already witnessed threads being 'Hi-jacked' and basically a lot of unrelated twoddle or uneccessary critism put on.



Also true - a smile does go a long way as does making an effort in trying to learn the local language and customs!



Saying that, January tends to be the worst month for morale anywhere, but you do need to just get out and meet people and get on with it!

You'll soon get to know who the agressive people are on here, just don't give them satisfaction by answering their posts.

I also agree re: Moderators, i.e. Banning people and then on the same post wanting to meet up with them to sort things face to face, in otherwords, wanting to fight it out. Also banning people because they've posted something they don't personally like ~ says it all.

I think alot has changed over the last 6 months i.e global and financial meltdown, the stress and worry of redundancies/bankrupcies, local corruption coming to light, price hikes and rises, unscupulous builders.



This is just a snippet of what I think right now is causing people alot of anxiety, stress, worry and agression lately and I dont see it improving for quite a while yet.



People are on tenter hooks right now!!



But your right also there are a small handful who are just provoking matters and are purely just out to stir the pot and create havok!!

Lets put in plain english what I was saying on the other thread. I know how everyone likes to twist things around.



If you look at previous comments I have made about abusive posts. The one thing I have stressed many times is that people say things because they hide behind the comfort of the keyboard and would never say things like they do to peoples faces. So my comment was to prove this point. Brave behind keyboard, then come say it to my face. The person I banned has been trying to provoke things with me for a while, so if he has a problem with me he should do it in private and not on the forum.



At no time did I mention violence or become aggresive. Anyone that knows me would know that I am not like that.
