Many years ago a young lady who I worked with posed this question. Browsing through the board tonight brought it to mind.

my friend sent me an email years ago which i printed and kept, now sorting through boxes i came across it, read it and thought about how true it is. there is life before death just depends what you make of it...

For a long time i had this feeling that my life would soon commence..

my real life..

But there was always obstacles along the way to overcome...

something unresolved...

debts too pay...after this my real life would start...

finally i realised that these obstacles are LIFE...

Thinking this way helps us to understand that there isnt

a way to be happy, that happiness is the way...

we have to live every minute of our lives.

time doesnt wait for anyone,

SO stop waiting for the kids to finish school..

to go back to school...

to lose 5 pounds,gain 5 pounds..

to have kids, see them leave home...

to wait for work to be over,

to marry,to divorce,

to get a new car,a new house..

To stop waiting for this life to be over, and start again..

and decide that there is no better time

to be happy then now...

Lulubel, that was lovely.Did all that in UK.But a few divorces. Now here by myself.Today after heavy shower at 10am went out in garden.so hot went topless...bloody hell 1st Feb.Took loads of new cuttings, listening to birds in case negative nick reads this.My cat caught first locust.

New flowers were out, osteospernums, tulips showing out of ground.

Pruned the roses, already new growth.Swopped plants with my neighbour,a beautiful lady from moldova.Had a glass of red wine when checking my

work in garden. Then a jacussi bath, with compulsary brandy, dry ginger and

fresh picked lemon.Tomorrow collect interest from banks. One more cloudy day

then will be 20 deg for 10 days minimum,Cyprus jasmin about to burst into

wonderful perfumed flower.I thank God/Allah for allowing me to be in this

Heaven.

Mike, I am so envious. The only thing that is stopping us from srarting on this next stage of lifes journey is the housing market in UK. You are living my dream - enjoy it on my behalf. I will also be looking for cuttings for the garden.

Lulubel/Lapta girl....will continue to take as many cuttings as possible.Love to design someone elses garden from scratch, after mine.Love this though.Went to Svetlana's garden, sat down talking to her daughter.Svetlana brought some roses that she had been given from her house, cut off the dead heads, and stuck them in the ground.I said to her daughter they won't grow. Why not,she said, they always do!!!Still learning!I then went to my compost, retrieved my rose cuttings, and stuck them in the ground.

Hi Mike,

That sounds wonderful !!!

We are hoping to move to Lapta very soon and are having our garden landscaped next month in readiness, please save a few cuttings for me and hopefully we will get as much enjoyment from our garden as you do.

Nice one Mike. Writing this in freezing weather as the snowflakes flutter down. Been that wet in the UK for last 2 years that I'm considering building an ark. Think we had sun half a dozen times last year, thats why your note puts things in perspective.

Did you take any plants over from the UK?

Do you plant bulbs roses etc in containers or directly in the grounds - if the latter how do you go on in high summer. Any useful gardening tips would be useful, agree that its nice to see some positive comments for a change, kind regards,Steve

Steve,Did sneak quite a lot of bulbs hidden in hand luggage and cases.Highly illegal, but used to buy when buy1 get 1 free!!!eg daffodils, tulips. Also for containers get from UK water retaining gel.Got stopped once because it said gel.But it is not gel,and let me through. If you can Roses always in the ground.

They tolerate dryness, but ability to water in very dry conditions is preferred

Please feel free to email direct or phone/call when here
