Hi all

Anyone got any opinions of Hoots restaurant since new management in Jan 2008 ?

Have been several times but not since new management takeover & just wondered whether the place was worth a recommendation or not ?

Any opinions / thoughts guys ?

I just find it odd to have to book to have a baked potato.

Not the same as when Belinda had it at all. She is now back in the UK & rents it out.

No need to book at guidos for a baked potato EVEN HIPPO can call in and have a baked spud with no reservation topping of his choice.

A fab place - great setting both winter and summer - Sunday lunches, a well attended Thursday night quiz and happy hour (4-7) Friday evenings - thoroughly recommend it.

Bye the way am nothing to do with them other than living locally and a regular.

What a fab place. We felt a very real warmth from the regulars as soon as we walked in.

It got better as the night wore on.

Feel reluctant to say how much we enjoyed the 'open-mic' night, 'cos on one hand people need to know what a great taverna this is, but on the other hand, don't want too many people discovering this little gem!

Thanks to all the guys, and girls, who made it such a memorable night.

for us.

We'll be back!

Rick & Pam.

Why resurrect a 2 year old thread? why not just post a new one?

We called in when passing and received a warm welcome, nice chat and had a lovely time. Many in for Sunday lunch and then they circled the fire and had a good time.

We will definately go back.
