Just an early morning thought. When someone wants to become a member of this Bulletin Board and is asked to give some information for the Member Information section... And that someone gives *deliberately* wrong information... Could one call such a member a liar and a coward? Or just a liar? Or just a coward?

Your thoughts?

RE msg 5, britvic : (...) If someone post's as someone else, are they also Liars and cowards? (...)

===> No. I'd say. In your example I'd call such a person a cheater or fraudster.

It isn't cowardly or being a liar that may stop people using details like real names etc. Ever heard of Phishing? or other email fraud? Makes sense to protect your on-line identity to me!!

In my view, and I have given the reasons for this before, only someone with no sense at all would give their real name or any personal information on a public bulletin board.

I really can't be bothered to spell it out again as I simply don't care what befalls those who deliberately expose themselves to all the potential damage out there.

I am however gratified to see that I have put a bat up the Dutchess's nightie.

Carry on Crusader - you are a laugh a minute.

very interesting:

I quote:

"===> Blush! But the English language is not my second language. My French and German is far better than my English. But I admit that my English is slightly better than four other languages I speak."

and

Question: Just out of curiosity, how many languages do you speak?

Answer: Seven languages, and now working on Turkish. Turkish is zor (difficult)...

My own honest thoughts on this is that anyone giving wrong information would be a coward and a liar.

Call me a cowardly liar if it makes you feel good, but giving out your personal details on the web is not the smartest thing you can do in life.
