Am experiencing difficulties with the above. Would appreciate anyone contacting me that has paid a deposit or has had negotiations with Davron.

Believe they packed up and went home after drinking the Fez dry, heard investors pulled the plug, project non viable following increases in import duty and taxes. the Karajac land lost its build permission due to new regs regarding building next to a ravine, thats all I know. Best of luck.

over £200,000 for a glorified wooden shed.....

No wonder they spent more time in the Fez than on site.....

I don't think any of this sarcasm is helping cornishoggy.

Irrespective of his choice of home,he sounds like another victim of an unscrupulous NC developer.

To the others its a good thing that we don't all like the same thing, it would be a dull old world and just in case you all have forgotton the saying comes to mind:-

Sarcasm is the lowest form of wit.

Thank you

There are beautiful wood homes about. If you look at homes in the USA they are timber frames, hence they can knock down & rebuild so quickly in those property makeover shows. I've stayed in a wonderful Swedish style wood log cabin in the Lake District see http://www.langdale.co.uk and they have been up for 25 years I think.

Sorry Hoggy, i actually viewed the show cabin and loved it in june 2007 as my mates considered buying one. They loved the location. Dave and Ron had high hopes for the site and said some pop star wanted to buy one for a family member, some group from the 70`s, cant remember Who.

Also used to bump into them in the bars and i felt they were nice guys and put effort into their project,

In my opinion it will be the credit crunch, their backer or the local government thats scuppered them. I cant see them setting out to goose someone intentionally.

As I said above as far as I know they have only built one at the top of the village. I believe it is sold. There is another one next door but it is just concrete structure and has remained in this state for 1-2 years. The developer has a blue crew cab pick-up with his logo on it but took the stickers off last year. He used to eat at the Green Valley restaurant in the village so maybe the owner could give you more info or the village muhtar. Try the HBPG. Good luck.

would be wary of dealing with such a corny sounding company - presumably the partners are "Dave and Ron" ??

We are the owners of the completed home. Please feel free to email us on

ml.palmer@ntlworld.com

There is one completed and sold home (ours) plus one that was very nearly complete before Davron moved offsite following, we understand, a dispute between the Partners/Directors and legal proceedings. The second home just required final fit fixings and I understand the owner (Nigel?) wanted to live there but we have heard no more. Nigel, if you find this board please contact us.

The homes and the site are beautiful but unfortunately I suspect a lot of people have been let down. We are left with no contact with the builders to address remedial issues and no permanent electricity supply that we contracted for.
