Does anyone know if you can get laser eye treatment in Northern Cyprus and if so where? Has anyone had it done here (in NC) and are they happy with the results. Any idea on prices if it can be done in NC.

Thanks

Lesley

Hatice at The Eye Clinic which is next to Tulips shop. Very professional care and service at much less lower cost than UK.

I know some Cypriots who went to Turkey because the prices are better there.

The quality here should be as good as there!

Dr Hattice is well recommended. as well Dr Mustafa Guvenir in Lefkosa.

Kind regards

Monika

Hi Lesley

I had laser treatment before I moved accross,Really pleased with the results as I was very short sighted but the only problem is I could read perfectly before without glasses but if like myself you are over fifty you will need reading glasses once you have the treatment, something to do with the hardening of the cornea which comes with age,bit of a bugger sometimes if you forget to take your glasses to the supermarket.

I had mine done in UK. Iwas very short sighted and was going to have the same problems with reading. They did one eye for distance and one for reading. I think the proceess was called monovision. The eyes just adjust automatically and although my eyesight isn't perfect, I no longer need glasses for either.

Hope this helps anyone who's still deciding.

My daughter had it done in İstanbul last July she is very pleased with the results. İ went with her, the whole thing was done very quickly. Not all people can have this done. Another friend also went but they told her she could not have it done. A lot of germans were having laser treatment while we were there. Have a look at the hospitals web page. http://www.dunyagoz.com İt is a eye hospital.
