Hi paul,

Yes still in H+H, would not bet against your prediction on rovers and hull.

Redtom, you must admit its still better than watching a pitch full of over pay men rolling around when nobody has touched them.

Well said paul, i agree totaly relegation and promotion must be better for the game what have those teams in the lower leagues got to play for, 3 year wait to see then if they qualify to the right criteria.

Andy although i have temporarily fallen out wit Rugby league ! I have to correct you on what you are saying! JJB stadium is held on lease terms to both Wrlfc and wafc Both have leases on the ground for 100 years . If Mr Whelan wants them out ! He honestly cant do much about it. Also if you look at the front of the stadium it says Home of Wigan Rugby league FC and also WAFC. Also the stadium was financed and built from the proceeds of the sale of Central park Ron(aldo) P.S Hows your ears are they still cold .

Hi paul/james,

I think it will still be hard to get away from leeds/saints again this season, but we will see.

Andy sorry mate cant agree with you, played both sports, when someone goes down in rugby there hurt, not like the other game a slight touch and there rolling 5 meters clutching there legs as if its been severed at the knee, player booked, up you get job done, some of them sould have gone to the olimpics sure they could have won us a gold in the diving, never mind each to his own,

Ray.

If you come and watch saints and park on Morrisons car park look out for the saints flag in full flight. Does anyone think if we give all teams in the leage a 10 point start it might make it a bit more interesting. wigan can have 20.flag also flies in edrimit

Saints gave Warrington 14 points lead on Friday just to give them a little bit of excitement, soon sorted them in the second half though.

Ray,

I suppose the conditions didnt help but to be honest i have seeen more skill shown at tower grange watching dockers.I suppose a draw was a fair result in the end.Rovers should have walked it really 6-0 up after two minutes with foxy running 70 yards. The ref was a complete plank as well giving poor decisions for both sides. Why dont they let the game flow, and show more consistency in their play.

Leeds at home on Friday vella already ruled out with knee ligament problems,he will be a massive miss for us.Mills will have to step up to the mark now and run his weight.Confident that we can beat the loiners though with a vast improvement on sundays debacle,

Paul.

Paul, Chev Walker looking at a 4 match ban for striking, I'd be surprised I bet he gets away with it.I cant believe youve got that useless lump Fozzard, he's made a career out of going into a tackle with his forearm up! Whats he got a 1 year contract?

No surprise there then. The rugby league never gave us anything so i dont suppose there going to start now.Morgan and phil Lowe had an excellent case as well.It stinks,

Paul.

Hi all,

Thought rovers unlucky last night 10 18 to leeds rovers scored a perfectly good try when scores were level think that would have made it a totaly different game,

Did anyone se that big hit Brisco did on bailey?

they say it was clash of heads but it was a big hit i reckon.

bailey's a dirty niggly player, it was good to see him get a taste of his own medicine, (cant bloody spell).

i bet he got the mick taken out of him on training ground today!

Wigan again lost, i predicted he would go after another loss.... lets see this week.

Blinky,

Yes i was at the game and saw the clash.Although i am not the biggest fan of Ryan Bailey i dont like to see any player of any sport carried off on a stretcher. The game was held up for what seemed an eternity and at one point i feared the worst for the lad,

Ray,

Cheers mate we will need it.I thought Morgan dropped a right clanger by not having any props on the bench it meant that Fozzard had to work extra hard.A bad coaching decision i.m.o.

Went to Leeds - Manly, big crowd on good atmosphere, leeds were shite, aussies taught them a lesson, poor burrow flattened, what looked a fair hard tackle!!!

Finding it hard sat with the bloody Yorkshire lot screamin 'yorkshire, yorkshire...'

Wigan won at last, onwards and upwards i hope.

i went past leighs old groung today, its been flattened by bull dozers...sad really all that history!!!

In leigh their is a local character 'Shandy Bass', he chained himself to the gates and had to be cut away by firemen prior to demolition works taking place.

many a goot time at hilton park!!!

Leight now got a new stadium, owned by Council, but hell of a good stadium, with good training facilities.

my old club leigh east have also moved to a state of the art site, close by, premiership footy clubs train when playing in north train on immitation pitch, its very good.

Things are lookin up in leigh for a change!!

We now have a part time Manager of England, last year RFL said they needed a full time coach.

Tony Smith gone to Wolves as head coach Jimmy Lowes now his second man.

Warrington - Leeds on Sunday his first match.

Ray,

Didnt play too well actually.Wakey lost Brad Drew in their first play, after he got crunched (fairly) by Scott Murrell.Would have been interesting to see what the outcome would have been had Drew not been injured.

I suppose the conditions never helped wind and rain, but overall it was a very dissapointing game. The ref did hid best to spoil the game as well by not taking wakey back 10 yards which in my opinion is killing the game, because it doesnt give the team with the ball enough time to string any sort of creativity together and makes the game stale and boring.

Two many head high tackles are being allowed as well and i am not quite sure about the ruling on the knock on any more. When i played if the ball went back ward you played on not anymore it seems. At the end of the day it is two points in the bag.Lots of improvements need to be made though if we are going to finish in the top four, though. We are at home to the welsh next week so should get another two,

Ray,

Thought Hull looked pretty solid on Friday night,if a little one dimensional going forward. But that has to be the worst performance from a Huddersfield team that i have ever seen.So many school boy errors, there coach must have been a very unhappy man,

I agree with your comments on fc defensivley they looked ok,but will have to improve a lot to challenge the big boys, must admit there is so much differance between each ref like us think they need to improve to,

Being a ref has to be one of the hardest jobs which is why they should receive more help from their linesman. They sometimes have a better view of the game then the ref himself. Its so annoying when you see a blatant forward pass or a stiiff arm and the "lino"will just stand there and do nothing about it,

Paul.

Great game at Saints last night, Saints beat Leeds good and proper. Ryan Bailey is a thug and a bully he should not be playing Rugby League.

Catalans v Bradford today. Warrington v Hull KR tomorrow.

One of the best games for a long time at St Helens.

At the end the commentators reviewed MoM and then discussed the referee. He was the one that should have got MoM for allowing the game to evolve naturally. No sin bins just sensible management.

This was a great advert for Rugby League. At the end even bailey was given hand shake and hugs, the "violence" was all in the game.

Good win for Bratford tonight. Smith has dropped 6 players for the game against Hull K R including Bridge & Briers. Rumour has it Briers going to Widnes now Cullen has gone there.

It was good to see the line up and shaking hands after the game a lot has been said about Saints & Leeds players not speaking to one another at the world cup, blown out of proportion probably and Eddie & Stevo don't help with their prattling on, you would think only Saints players had played in the world cup.

Speckie,

Briers was playing mate.Never at the races today,we had enough posession to win the game but they seemed to want it more.Really dissapointed as i thought we would win.Ben Cockayne was outstanding.A bad week-end for Hull as all our pro teams got beat.Salford at home next week fingers crossed.

Ray,

RFL to issue a statement later, Crusaders website unable to discuss until the statement has been made, doesn't sound too good.

20 year old Wakefield academy player , he was tackled, played the ball then collapsed. Not half had some bad luck over at Wakefield these past 12 months.

Cheers Ray,

I also watched Hull last night, they dont look like a team to me that will be ripping up any trees this season. They are a very workman like side and look quite solid, but seem to lack the spark that the good sides have.

Went to Craven Park today. After 20 minutes it looked as though there could bee a shock on the cards as Rovers carried on where they left off last week at Warrington.12-12 at half time, the second half was so different an Rovers ran in six tries, with hat-tricks from Dobson and Fox.

The mother in law sends her regards Ray.

All Rugby League spectators should be applauded for the way the one minute silence for Leon Walker has been observed. A credit to the game.

Cheers Ray,

Watched your lot last night nodded off mate what are they coached all week 5 drives and a kick very one dimensional indeed. The team dont appear to have a leader.I wouldnt pay Thorman in buttons, you certainly need a scrum half.Radford at loose man someones having a laugh there,

Paul.

very poor,

cant believe its the same team from two years ago, lacking any idea in attack, and defensively were they have been quite good they were awful, lots of changes need to be made quality scrum half, good full back, good centre, decent pack leader, and most of all decent coach,
