Cryonics is freezing people so they may be brought back to life in the future. The future is hoped to be an amazing existence where the sorts of things people die of now days can easily be cured. The technology is assumed to be good enough to bring back to life people who have been frozen solid for hundreds of years. Would you consider it?

Definitely not, who would want to be over 100 years old? I don't recognise this world from when I was a kid never mind hundreds of years later.

If you want to get frozen, come over to London! we can probably do you the first three months free-of-charge, if the amount of snow still on the ground is anything to go by. After that, it's all down to the deal you can strike with a local branch of Iceland (that's the frozen food company, not the bankrupt country). Joking apart, the science you're referring to is properly speaking Cryobiology. At the moment, it can be used to successfully freeze and re-thaw eggs, sperm etc but no-one has yet demonstrated that they can revive an entire mammal - still less a human being. You can expect to see 'Icicles, the wonder Chimp', or whatever, paraded around on TV years before they get close to reviving a human. At the moment, the real beauty of the technology is that none of the customers come back to complain.

Don'T think so, do you mean when we are defrosted and look on the forum the same old cronies will be slagging everyone off, or will we be on our best behavior and talk nice to people, Now that would be worth waking up for

Lilli - there will not be a blue rinse brigade in the future. The future is no hair. Saves time washing and cutting. )
