| moomoo in response to your question on another thread re military service. Even if you are born in UK and live there your whole life and hold a British Passport, but decide to move to TRNC you would have to do military service (i believe it is 15months now), but as you have not lived here, you have the option to pay out of the army. You can pay £1500 and do 1 months service, which you can do in 2 two week stages if you wish, or you can pay £3000 to get out of it totally, but still going in for 1 day a year which i believe is more of a fun get together than actual training. Alternatively you can apply for a 90 day pass, which means that you get a letter which you have to show on each entry to the country (and sometimes exit - depending on the officer at the time) via the border or TRNC airport, which allows you to travel freely to and from the TRNC but only for a maximum of 90 days per year. Obviously this mat not be possible as its a lot of money. Hope this helps. |

| If you can provide discharge papers proving previous enlısted/commıssıoned servıce you should be exempt. |
