Had to post this one, on MSN news page. If I stop laughing I may think of an appropriate comment!! A No Kissing sign has been unveiled at a railway station in a bid to cut delays. The sign was placed by rail bosses at the passenger drop-off point at Warrington Bank Quay station in Warrington, Cheshire. Virgin Rail, which runs the station, says if passengers want to share an embrace before they part company, their loved ones should pay to park their cars nearby.

hi smithy, i think it's quite reasonable to ban smoking and kissing on the station platform.can you not imagine the pain it would cause when two lips kiss, with a cigarette in their mouth's,or is it just a burning desire.if you were going to kiss some one you should at least remove your cigarette first.as its only polite to do so.xx

The ban is outside the station at the dropping off point, the taxi drivers have made the complaint because they can't move off quick enough, there is just about enough room for 4 cars and no parking around there except the station cark park which is expensive if you can get on it. No free parking in this town I live 5 miles away but never shop there.

Whatever happened to platform tickets that allowed you and your girlfriend (or boyfriend, delete as applicable) to spend a few cosy hours in the waiting before having to walk home? AJ

| A No Passengers sign has been unveiled at a railway station in a bid to cut delays. The sign was placed by rail bosses at the passenger drop-off point at Warrington Bank Quay station in Warrington, Cheshire. A Spokesman said, this way we don't have tiresome people wanting the trains to stop at the station so they can get off or get on. Virgin Rail said it was a new initiative to improve efficiency of their rail service. They also said they were considering banning all passengers from their services as this would decrease journey times, improve network efficency and as a result, increase their Rail subsidy from the Government.
