It won't make ANY difference - Turkey will tell whoever is "elected" how to act in the talks...

Don't believe me.. March 2003 loses a ECHR case brought by a TC Doctor stopped from crossing north to south... April 2003, The crossings are opened..

That was TOTALLY against UBP policy.. Mr Denktash told Serdar to "announce" it ...

it won, t make any difference to whom ,exactly.

the ubp are set to win ,because that,s what the turkish people want ,and if you know as much as you state you do about the tc,s you will know the reasons behind their votes.

Dear Musin, re msg 5, Turkish *CYPRIOTS* (and not a few Turks - "citizens" of "TRNC") may well vote in the "hard line" UBP.. and I'm well aware of why, thanks, if you need me to explain to prove you're wrong - just ask..

" i personally believe you know very little about us. "

Well, you wouldn't be the first poster today to be so wildly wrong... ;)

You'll just have to take my "word" for it ...let's just say I haven't just READ about some of the characters involved in TC Politics.. ok?

The result of the elections all depend on who Turkey will decide to back up this time.

As with all previous "democratic" elections held in TRNC, the Turkish embassy personnel will visit villages during the last week to instruct mainland Turkish voters on who to vote for.

===> So what, iceman? Isn't it a fact that Northern Cyprus is already an unofficial province of Turkey? What is left of the former Cyprus of the Cypriot Turks? Why not make Northern Cyprus an official province of the motherland?

What are your current thoughts about a reunification? Should all Turkish mainlanders (as far as I know there are already more mainland Turks living here than Cypriot Turks!) and foreigners be expelled? Northern Cyprus for the last Cypriot Turks - and the Cypriot Greeks?

how does the proportions of people affect the vote.

how many tc's with a vote compaired to how many turkish mainlanders?

do turkish mainlanders out number the tc's?

Dear F-S re msg 10

Oh yes, they outnumber REAL TCs, but figures are "massaged" as many TR mainlanders are "TRNC" "citizens"..

Their vote, crucial - as if they fear a settlement will put them in a weaker situation.. Would a Turkey vote for banning Xmas? .. sorry about the pun..
