Yes firestarter I have an iphone 3g unlocked and working on the latest software 2.2. Unlocked myself in 5 mins flat. 3g working as well. Dont bother with any of the dodgy telephone shops in Girne here they havent got a clue about iphones.

What iphones do you have firestarter if its the 3g with the 2.2 software you need to download the free software yellowsn0w via cydia or installer. Once you have followed instructions and unlocked your phone you may need to install apn editor which is already in \cydia or installer. This will allow you to enter the settings for 3g. Do not listen to the staff at turkcell who will tell you that there 3g doesnt work with the 2.2 software it does.

on the contrary the file is only 6kb and you do not download it from your pc it is downloaded directly onto the iphone. The iphone must be jailbroken first as you need to have either cydia or installer. If your son does not know what i am talking about he will not be able to do it. I am able to meet you sometime next week to have a look at the phone and let you know what can be done.
