If they find the board compulsive (some of us eem to be on more than off) they might be worried that they will get addicted and never leave their computers?

like i said.if you set the camras in the right place,and have one outside,so people can see whos in,they might like to pop in for a chat.sometimes when not got much else to do...but if someone was in who got my wick...i would just walk on by.use another.most people would dont you think...just a few teething probs....it can work,belive in yourself man..have more faith..good work.

Give it time, a lot of people will be worried about giving out their email, I am always wary of this but I did, no problem, also what happened last time will have people on their guard especially if they haven't been to one before, I would like to let everyone know that in my experience that was a one off, and hopefully certain safeguards are now in place, so it's only members on here with their own use-names and we all know who we are talking to.

Give it a try.

Where are the instructions on how to access the chatroom? Plus - if one has to give one's e.mail address in a public forum, then obviously that will put people off entering (I never allow my e.mail address to be available in public - the world is too full of odd people to risk that).

it also needs to be open to cy44 members only is it? there is no history with it when you go in unless people are in there ok but if you pop in leave a message it vanishes when you leave.

MsGarnet, you never put your email on a public forum! In this instance you email DC at hansdoeleman@allcrusades.com with your user-name he in turn send you an access number and a link to the chat room. Hope this helps

Thanks, Nigel, for your unsolicited help. I'm quite capable myself to tell interested people how to enter and I do that in emails.
