i am just doing a little research for a friend. would have your dog microchipped if it were available? those already done in the uk and else where could also register on a lost and found sort of database. (petlog type thing.) the cost would be similar to that in south cyprus & uk. i am also interested to hear from anyone who works at kar.

Hye Fire starter As far as i know KAR are involved in microchipping already. They do a special offer for Friends of KAR members (yearly fee of £10) which is 25TL (limited to 1 per Friend) instead of the usual 25 pounds price. If you want any more info or to talk to them about it then you could ring them (0533 869 4098) or email them direct at kar@kyreniaanimalrescue.org. Hope this helps.

Firestarter, the ear tags on dogs are done to show they are neutered street dogs (KAR). The cats have the point of their ear clipped off. My dog was micro-chipped as a pup for his pedigree.

Purchase a microchip in in the UK and bring it over or get a friend to. UK microchips are more reliable. Ferdez can do the insertion in 2005 it was 3ytl

it is illegal to purchase or be sold microchips in the uk, unless you are a vet or a qualified microchip installer who has taken a course on microchipping. microchips for the e.u market should be iso readable. what is the point when there is no lost and found register? i found this out whilst speaking with my vet, as he recommended getting our puppy done. because dog theft does happen here. that is why i am trying to help him.
