Do any of you ladies know of anyone who does these nails in N. Cyprus? and if so roughly how much do they charge? I've been having mine done in the UK for years now and would like to continue over there if possible.

Jo, thanks for that - maybe I'll get full set done here before I set off then get infils done at Rose nails - will work out cheaper - let me know if they do a good job!

You have till 3 weeks tomorrow to produce some sunshine! surely the gardens will have had enough rain by then - the acu weather forecast looks good for two weeks time so fingers crossed!

I have Gel nails done at Velenas on the way to Esentepe. They cost TL80 (which is quite expensive) but Ala does them really well and they last me about 4 weeks. Hope this helps.

Thanks ladies, at least I know I can get them done over there!

Mikelapta & NegativeNick - do you have acrylic/gel nails? do you read all the threads on here? perhaps we should rename you CuriosMike & NoseyNick lol. Seriously chaps, I think you should have a rethink about the dogs though Mike may have had previous experience with sheep??? lol

Well it's good to know you're in touch with your 'feminine side' Nick! Will let you know how the nails work out so you can let Misses Neg know!

All the best

Hi Maggie

I pay £32 every 2/3 weeks for gel or acrylic ( what ever i,m into at the time )

in UK( North London ) for infills or a new set.

From scratch pardon the pun ! £40, and then the maintainance would be £32

I to wonder how this compares to NC prices ?

Regards

Saffi

hi ladies

just seen thread re gel/acrylic nails and even though i wont be out in cyprus permanently until july i will be starting to do mobile beauty and nails. I have been doing nails for over 16years.

They seem to be quite expensive in trnc, so i will be priced competitively, i think maybe a full set if your mobile should cost between £25/30 depending on what you have done with an infill maybe costing £18/20.

waxing also seems quite expensive too, have various price lists and some treatments seem to cost more in trnc then here in n.ireland.

Lulubell I will look forward to your arrival! I'm sure you will do very well if you keep the prices competitive - also a mobile service would be great - I always manage to ship my new nails before I get home (struggling with keys, purse etc) Would be great to get them done at home then relax for an hour in the sun!

hi maggie

thanks for that me too cant wait to come over!! yes im planning on keeping prices low but using top quality products ( products that are used often in uk like opi, jessica, etc). And its so true you can be sure of chipping nails or a breakage when you dont have your nail tech to hand..

but will keep you posted for when im there and due to start up

take care

spider, would recommend gels every time... i have them as my nails always break especially at work! they are so much stronger and easier to maintain, they haven't snapped in 3 months!

i too will be awaiting lulubells arrival in july, i think most of the female trnc population seem to be!

take care

Hiya ladies, just to let you all know, I am also moving over to TRNC and will be setting up in a salon in Alsancak. Should be over April/May time.

I use Creative Nails products and have my Masters qualification. Prices again will be very competitive.

If you would like to have a look at my work you can check out my UK website at http://www.topaznaildesign.co.uk . I'll be updating this with prices, address, contact details etc nearer my arrival time.

Sounds like there will be plenty work around for the both of us lulubell, it'll be nice to have another UK nail tech out there to bounce ideas around with!

Hiya ladies. Just to let you know, I am also moving over to TRNC April/May and will be opening as a Nail Technician in a salon in Alsancak.

I use Creative Nail Design products, offer a full range of treatments including Acrylic, Gel and natural nail care including indulgent Spa treatments for both hands and feet and am trained to Master level. After running a sucessful salon in the UK have decided I need more sun, lol!

Prices again will be competitive in comparison to some of the prices I have checked out.

If you would like to take a look at my work, you can have a peek at my UK website - http://www.topaznaildesign.co.uk . Prices, address and contact details will be updated nearer my arrival date.

Looks like there'll be plenty of work to go around lulubell, look forward to maybe meeting up and having another UK tech to bounce ideas around with.

Take care

Hi Saffi

I'm in Lancaster (up North where it's grim!)

I go to a lovely little Vietnamese girl who charges me £30 for a full/new set or £20 for infills every 2/3 weeks. I've let them grow out this last 6 months as I've been back & forth to Cyprus for 6 weeks at a time & gardening & decorating the house over there. Would like to get them done again now as I really hate these nails of mine that break all the time & never look nice!

Upnorth Msg 2 How did you get on having your infils done at Rosenails??

Hi upnorth, did they speak english in Rose nails? If so I could maybe ask them not to do them too thick - I don't like that either as I struggle to do stuff - like pick up my credit card off shop counters lol (only girls with gel nails would understand)
