Most rubbish you've seen dumped in TRNC...

1) High View Homes site entrance, opp the Golf Club.

2) Opposite Valley View Restaurant (by Accapulco).

The persons involved should be hung by the neck until they agree to clean the mess up.

Hope the noose is not too tight Nick, otherwise they will die before they have cleaned up the mess.

Nick , if you hang all the TCs that dump rubbish, there will only be the Brits and Greeks left here, suppose its one way to solve the reunification problem.

Down near the sea in Karsiyaka close to the blot on the landscape unfinished hotel. What really annoys me is that rather than dump on top of the existing rubbish, they dump in amongst the trees.

unfortunately some Brits have already got into the local habit, throwing their rubbish over their own walls, obviously have no thought for their neighbour hood or the TRNC's environment, shame on them!!

On the road past Acmenya restaurant going towards Malatya, I couldnt believe it, a field at the side of the road used as a dumping ground for all kinds of rubbish, and I was told it is the dump for Alsancak beledeye, in fact I witnessed a council truck arriving with tree branches and other debris, right next to this dump is a site building bungalows all advertised for sale.

That made me laugh... who would buy next to that debacle...

I think you are talking about the cardboard recycling plot (on the left before you get to the Black Olive Cafe. If this is not the location then I apologize). It is an interesting situation. People are complaining about the lack of recycling in the TRNC and when someone takes up the initiative then people still complain. And it is the usual 'not in my back yard' scenario. It may be a debacle to you but it is a start in the recycling effort that is trying to be introduced in the TRNC.

if this is the case I apoligise, but would you like to live in one of the houses next to this site, it is the worst position possible for a recycling site. Que tourists (should we get any this year) coming down from the Riverside holiday village seeing that. enough said

Please don't apologise, it just worries me that sometimes people do not see the other side of the coin. And yes I agree with you it is not a nice view to be seen by holiday makers from the Riverside but where ever this recycling plot is going to be put it is going to upset someone. And as far as the Riverside guest's are concerned I am sure that driving past something that is not right on their doorstep will not worry them too much.

Not sure what you mean, I do not disagree about the rubbish that is deposited by people in the TRNC, I was replying to a specific posting by Mindy.

I would hasten to add the most Belideye's have a rubbish collection service and will pick up any refuse that is reported to them. Sometimes you may have to pay (a small sum) sometimes you will not pay anything. But as I see it a lot of people complain but they don't complain to the right people. Every resident has a Muhtar that takes care of problems in their particular area and the Muhtar is the person that you need to talk to about sorting out any of these problems.

What is needed here, is Education, Education, Education.

Or even some simple notices put up in english and turkish in all public places just saying: Take your litter home...... or fines will be imposed......

Can't believe the government hasn't jumped on this as it would be money in their coffers. The road to Kayalar is awash with rubbish in the summer, does any one feel ashamed or embarassed by these scenes.

That is exactly what I do, and I am sure many others do also. I was told there is money back from the beer bottles here, so I am surprised at the many Efes bottles thrown all over Karsiyaka beach.

plastic buckets and other man made materials down a ravine

opposite the local Muhtar's shop!!!

I was driving behind a large white van a few months ago when a carrier bag full of rubbish was thrown out of the window onto the roadside. The culprit was a young woman passenger with a small child on her knee. She is setting a great example to the future generation , don't you think........... NOT

Message no1 My partner and i visited the High View Homes site opposite the golf course entrance. the builder has dumped dozens of lorryloads of building waste in a beatiful ravene by the road. it is disgusting. but it gets worse. opposite the finsihed houses is the builders camp which he refuses to knock down. absolutely no way would we buy from a company like that. i feel sorry for the poor people who have bought from them. I went to look at Highview homes a week or so ago, just by the golf course on Esentepe road, just drove there on the off chance for an afternnon drive, I like looking at houses and I had heard that these were rather nice...what a bloody shock I got, nice houses yes but I really wouldnt want to live in the middle of a gypsy encampment..infact gypsies are cleaner...I have never seen so much crap dumped before.

I wouldnt buy from that builder if he was virtually giving them away...a real health hazard IMO.

its amazing that highview builders are allowed to fly tip opposite the golf course, Mustapha the esentepe muhtar, I hope you are reading this,I have seen their red white and blue tipper dumping tons and tons of builders rubble there, then their jcb tries to hide it, they are not flying our flag, its disgraceful, every day I drive past and see the mess. I am sure people living there must be pulling their hair out. Makes you laugh all these builders do this on or next to their own devlopments, would put off any further potential buyers for sure.

Neg Nick

With regard to the rubbish by the High View Homes site I saw one of their trucks dumping tons of crap last week, followed the truck to whats seems to be a squatters camp in trees where Highview building workers shack up, by one of the Highview completed sites.

Shame for the people who live in the luxury homes alongside this dump and shanty town, rubbish all over, dogs roaming about. The owner of the company needs to get his act together as his disregard for the enviroment, the conditions he houses his workers in and disrespect he shows to folks who have bought his villas can only reflect on the image of his company.

High View Homes rubbish dumping opp the golf course entrance ? - you've got to read this off their website:

http://www.highview-homes.com/company_profile.php

"and we are particular to preserve the environment. We design around the trees and if necessary they are replanted safely so the beauty of north cyprus is mainted"

What a bloody joke the shite they have dumped by the road beggars belief, there must be over 100 tonnes ! - if i'd bought off these clowns, i'd be fuming.

I'm suprised to hear that the High View Homes site opposite the Golf Course is still a mess.

By now that site should be cleared and the road to the site installed and all the people should have their title deeds, but it appears that this site is still the builders site it was over 2 years ago.

I worked for an Estate Agent when I lived there and because of the workmans huts, lack of road access and general fly tipping the resale homes on the site prospective buyers wouldn't entertain buying unless they had a clear date that all the huts, materials and road would be installed.

Many were also put off buying at other sites after seeing that site for fear of their site remaining the same after their new villa was finished. Eray does himself no favours. When the market is this depressed you need to step up a gear to make you stand out of a crowd, not just go on saying "but feel the quality". The quality is also the surroundings too!

just finished playing golf and popped into the high view site opposite to see what the fuss is about.

the builder has dumped huge amounts of builders waste right next to the road then made a half baked attempt to smooth it over but it is a total shitty mess. you have to see it to believe it.

then went down to the actual site, i could not believe my eyes. right opposite the completed villas is the shittiest shanty camp you have ever seen in your life, there is rubbish and litter strewn everywhere, the workers were revving up a large lorry, dogs barking and the icing on the cake was the workers had build a huge fire with smoke billowing everywhere.

on the builders website they say 'a standard that other builders can only aspire to'

what it should say 'a standard of shitty mess and rubbish dumping that all decent builders would be ashamed of'

we moved to to TRNC because of it's nateral beauty. People like this should feel the full weight of the law and made to clean it up

Becks,

From what I remember it would take more than a man with a wheel barrow to sort that sites mess out, and if Chazz4566 is correct then the site is worse than I remember it. It would take an army of men with heavy earth movers to create peace and tranquility.

But also what are the residents meant to do about labourers who live on the site next to them in a per fabricated breeze block building, evict them? It's Eray's responsibility to get them off the site and return the surroundings back to a natural state to make it seem as though the woods grew up around the homes, not that the other way round.

I was one of the people who saw the Golf Course site when it was nearing completion.

Eray could not give me straight answers to:

1) When will Electric and Water be on the site.

2) When will there be a tarmac road to link the site to the main road.

3) When will the breeze block buildings and materials be removed and landscaping installed.

3 simple questions. No postive answers. If all three had been answered I would gladly have spent my £200,000 with him and bought from him, but he didn't, so I didn't.

I am now glad that I didn't if that beautiful site is still surrounded by so much rubbish. If I was to buy there today I certainly WOULD NOT be paying the prices he was asking 2 years ago. £200,000 then, tops £150,000 today with its outlook.

By the way I did buy elsewhere on the island and was asked recently if I wish to sell and was given a price too. It was 50% more than I paid! But I enjoy my home to much to let it go just yet.

NN re Msg 46 - I've had plenty of rubbish at my front door thanks as I've had continual building work going on in front of me at to one side since I purchased in 2003. Thankfully successive builders have had to clear their mess and now it's looking as a residential area should.

Never once been on here bleating about it though!!!

Bumped into Eray from High View Homes today and asked him about the rubble being dumped.

Turns out that the access road to the site is next to a large dip and to avoid the road slipping away in the rainy season he is placing in-fill (which is made out of rubble, earth etc) in the dip to strengthen the road sides. He also informs me that it has now been done and earth filled over the top to leave it looking better. So he was only trying to protect the site after all.

I have to say that my knowledge of Eray's work is that it is to a high standard though I haven't been to this particular site.

When will he demolish the shanty town that he has created for his workers meters away from this lovely development that is set in a idyllic setting. Friends of ours looked at High View they were impressed with the quality but let down by the lack of finish to the site so assumed the new site would be left in the same state. Can i ask if anyone has got any title deeds yet?

In trying to comply with the trnc eventually joining the EU, the trnc Council of Ministers have just this week past a resolution to establish its first gypsie or romany camp , as per EU guidelines. The owner of Highview homes has graceously offered his camp instead of the government using tax payers hard earned money. The new site is in fact being advertised on http://www.romanyworldtraveller.com. The travellers will love the beachfront location and how close it is to the golf course. Great for coursing and rabbiting.

Finding someone to do your roof or lay tarmac drives will be a thing of the past.

reference message no50 donty, the rubble at the high view homes site entrance opp the golf course has been dumped for the sole reason of disposing of builder's waste. Eray is talking nonesense, nothing to do with any road strenghtening. anyone with half a brain can see that.

Eray has saved himself thousands rather than disposing of the rubbish properly. Cannot believe that any purchaser on that site would reccomend high view. how short sighted he is.

I havent been to this site so i havent seen it so keep your snide comments to yourself, male chicken.

Im not supporting Eray, I have no connection to him or High View Homes. I just saw him around and asked him directly to see what he had to say and posted it here for interested parties to see his response.

How do you know for sure this is what he has done? Why would anybody dump crap on their own approach road? Think about it, I know it hurts but try! why not dump it on your competitions road?

If he proves that he did it to protect the road will you offer HVH a full apology? Not that i give a toss either way.

Why is that when you try to help and give info to people some rude git comes along and slags you off. I dont know why I bother. This site has so many armchair critics its like a British pub.. full of negativity. Sometimes I have to agree with Aussies that we are a nation of whingeing poms who see only darkness... how sad.

Looking to contact people who have purchased from High View Homes to share experiences, good or bad.

This is an owners group and has no connection to either Eray or High View Homes Ltd.

still looking for more High View Homes purchasers to e mail us and share their experiences. Particularly interested in owners on Alagadi site to discuss builder illegally dumping rubbish and refusal to knock workers camp down.

i would re-itterate that the owners group is nothing to do with Eray or High View Homes.
