I am trying to find out who is offering the cheapest white goods package at the moment.

I know of frank & joans but their website doesnt appear to be offering any electrical packages at the moment.

Thank you in advance for any help.

We bought our aircons from Toros in Girne. Very reasonable prices. fridge and washing machine from Arcelik and freezer from Beko. Hob and oven from Atanco. Shop around I say...... thats if it is possible to do this of course.

Do remember that you get what you pay for.

Probably more prudent to go for the best value rather than the cheapest as it will pay you back in the long run!

hi

was just wondering if anyone knows how much a washer dryer costs, and also if they are easily available. Not sure if many would use it out there but i would definately need one, so either bring it over or buy one there.

thanks

Hi

If you are brining a container out it might be cheaper to bring them with you

Then you can take advantage of the sales at home, the tumble dryer we brought was a Beko, they are made in Turkey so at least spare parts are easy to come by.Electricty is expensive that is why we didnt bring a washer/dryer

also clothes do dry very quickly outside and my wife uses the tumble on a limited basis, the one thing she has found very useful is the rotary dryer

Last year we fitted some very good quality LG a/c units to a house under construction. Unfortunately, the new owner couldn't work out how the controllers worked and rather than call us in, via the developer, they asked a British "home furnisher" to help them out. This person told them the units were cooling only and couldn't be used to heat the rooms. This was complete tosh, but nevertheless the house owner paid for this "home furnisher" to remove some of the brand-new units and replace them with their preferred brand. The owner mentioned this to the developer who called us in, at which point we demonstrated that the LG units do produce lots of heat.

This was either dishonesty on the part of the said "home furnisher" or incompetence, either way it demonstrates that such "home furnishers" need careful monitoring. It also demonstrates that the "home furnishers" chosen a/c company were part of the deception/incompetence as they would know how the controllers worked.

Caveat emptor.

It always pays to shop direct, if you use an introducer then the price you pay will also include their commission!!!

LG aircons are fantastic. The extra money you pay saves you in the end as they are A class efficiency for heating, cooling and de-humidifying.

Arselik service on air cons last summer was shocking - 3 week wait.

Vestel, Beko for reasonably priced white goods.

Cheap ovens here just seem to blast hot air irrespective of what function you have them on.

hi jardap

yes the electricty is expensive it was an idea more for the winter maybe with regards to washer/dryer.

seems like beko is a good make and if parts are easy to get then maybe that would be the best option.

thanks

Jackie is finding that apart from the rainy days that she drys most things outside, and only uses the tumble dryer to finish them off

it keeps them soft apparently!

Don't buy an Arcelik 600rpm washing machine. A normal wash takes over 3 hours! A 30min wash takes over an hour!
