Hi

I know that this part of the island is very pretty but will take some time for a huge number of settlements to be filled. If you a are looking for a busier lifestyle maybe you should have bought nearer to Kyrenia, like Ozankoy , Catalkoy. I am building around Catalkoy area at the moment. Maybe our paths will cross one day.

Hi,

Yes I have bought at Sea Terra Marina. I haven't been over and would appreciate your views on how the site is run and does it now look as attractive as the brochure?

My apartment is up for sale at present and I am trying to contact anyone interested in buying on this site.

Hope to hear from you soon.

There is nothing there and driving to Girne takes the best part of an hour....

Why would anyone want to buy there ?

you lot sound like the Estate agents who lie about how far places are from Town !

Saw an add the other day saying that Aropkoy was 10 mins to Girne...

Tommi Makinen would struggle to do Esentepe to Girne in 20 mins !

We have an apartment at the Marina and it is a fantastic setting , we overlook to sea , the complex has its own entrance to the quaint little fishing Marina , where you can buy fish straight from the boat .

The large beach is a 5 minute walk away . We have a couple of restaurants 10 minute walk away , and we also have a fantastic takeaway who delivers to the complex in the summer months .

We have a petrol station on our doorstep , and 2 well stocked supermarkets .

A short drive up into Tatlisu village you will find the council office and a bank .

Ercan airport is 35 minutes away , Lanarca 1 hour .good road systems to Girne , Famagusta , Nicosia .Tatlisu is idylic as it has all what you need , without the hustle bustle .

We also have a strong association where we owners have a say in running the complex , as soon as anyone purchases on the Marina , you get access to a private forum where all owners exchange tips, suggestions , feedback etc .

continued .

We have a gated system at the Marina , where all owners are issued with a fob key to allow access to the complex . We have a private gym , 2 very large swimming pools and a childrens swimming pool . Every apartment has there own parking spaces .At present our maintenance fees are £45 per month

Once you are an owner you have access to the Marina owners association which has now got off the ground this association is intended to work alongside developer and management .

The Marina conplex also has there own forum where all owners are welcomed .

All in all a fab complex where after 18 months owners are getting to know one another . We just a had a UK meeting which was attended by some owners , providing good ideas in order to take the complex forward . Hope this helps .

Nick .

I do not think you can have community living or anything perfect any where ? do you ? however Sea Terra have built 4 complexes , now up to now the first complex at Esentepe are just in there final stages of receiving there deeds and as soon as they receive them i will post , the Marina deeds are also promised in the next few months , again i will post as soon as we receive them .

At the Marina like everyone we have had snaggings /teething probs /and a few ongoing problems , but in my opinion SEA TERRA carry out there obligations are lot more than other complexes , the offices are still there after 4 years , they answer our E-mails , now i am sure this is reassuring as we purchased off plan in 2005 , yes we do have on going problems with certain things on the Marina (nothing major ) but as i have said the owners association are working with SEA TERRA to put these right . On a personal note i think we have been very lucky compared to other sites .

Pipie:

Sounds very promising. I will let my friend know there are a few happy customers on this resort.

Looking at the website and reading what Pipie has said, the tranquailty of this resort does look appealing.

Can you only get into the SeaTerra forum once you have purchased?

Does anyone know what the going rate would be for a penthouse in terms of rental?

thanks again,

Nick Been to Esentepe from our house in Tatlisu this morning it is 14 km even if we only did 65km an hour as the slowest parts of the road allows it would still only take 12 minutes, town is another 30km 27 minutes total 39 minutes. As the vast majority of the road is faster speeds than this I think the 40 minutes I said is a fair assumption unless you drive a renault 19. But I don't mind people thinking its too far as it keeps it peaceful for us to enjoy.

mess 26 - you are forgetting the cars and lorries you get stuck behind...

in the real world Seat Terra to Girne is 1 hour....

If that's ok for you that's fine, but IMHO it is way too far out - far more going on round girne.....

How far is Tatlisu from Famagusta and Bogaz. I know with the new roads it is supposed to be much quicker. I believe there is a shopping complex (centre) over the mountains with 1001 and Nike store among others how far are they from Tatlisu.

Breezy boy

The takeaway is part of Alley's supermarket down by the new mosque they have just built , on his menu he normally offers , burgers , pizza , chips etc , soooooooooo cheap , also if you pop into the restaurant next to the taxi place (oooops forgot to mention we have a taxi also at Tatlisu ) and ask for a packet service , you can choose from the menu , we had kebab meat , salad , chips , when we ordered ours we ordered for 3 meals ,for 30 ytl when we went to collect it could have served the whole complex HUGE .

Naas 26

The name just escapes for a minute , but i know the one you mean , yes it has 1001 shop , and a few other shops which will no doubt take off in the next few years , it takes us around 25 mins possibly less to reach there from Tatlisu , what we all tend to sometimes forget is the speed limits that are imposed now in TRNC . Bogaz takes us 30 mins Famagusta 40 mins , there are short cuts , but we stick to the main roads as we have favourite places we tend to stop along the way . Hope this helps .

Tatliisu is definitely the place to be, equidistant from Girne and Famagusta also only 30 mins from Ercan.

10 mins from the new marina if it ever comes to fruition. 15 mins from Golf Course

All this and peace and quiet too.

By the way the shopping centre referred to is Anfora Shopping Complex at Iskele containing Marda Supermarket.

They have no other developments in the pipeline on their website. Not good news for the residents of Seaterra Reserve who have a mortgage on their site running into millions. Especially in the current economic climate.

I agree Cocos, they were going to build some villas in Esentepe, but it looks like they've pulled the plug on this. Considering the banks are foreclosing on mortgaged land here, this is not good news for owners on the Reserve.

I am posting this as an employee of Seaterra & it has been approved by our directors.

Seaterra took out a mortgage loan on our Reserve project (none of our other projects are affected) as part of normal business procedure. A large part of that mortgage has been repaid.

Next week the owners of the fully paid apartments at the Reserve will receive a letter of exclusion (signed by the mortgage holder) confirming that their apartments are excluded from the mortgage.

The Seaterra companies are solid and there is no risk to any of our customers.

Messages 47 Stevemac. It is because of the current economic climate that this project has been put on hold. It would be financially irresponsible to start a new project at this time.

Hi,

We will go down to Marina from wednesday and stay for a week. Around April 5th we will probably have a visitor that are looking for an apartment in TRNC. She is interested in Marina and other sites in the area.

So I would be happy to receive more info for her. My email address is jarefsnes@gmail.com
