Are the Pyla and the Pergamos crossings one and the same or are they two separate crossings?

Do you know if they are open 24 hours for foot traffic?

Is it practicle to take a taxi from Larnaca airport to one of the crossings mentioned above, walk over the border to be picked up?

Any advice gratefully received.

Thanks.

They are one and the same !

Pergamos / Beyarmudu

This crossing point is north of the Dhekelia SBA base and Pyla/ Pile

It's one of the two crossing points that lie inside the British Eastern Sovereign Base Area. T'other is near Famagusta - Black Knight aka: / Strovillia/ 2 or four mile crossing / Akyar / Ayios Nicholaios

One can cross 24/7

A tip: DON't refer to it as a "border" in the "south".. esp if asking for a taxi ride to there- you might find you'll get a lecture about the only "border" in CY are the Med or a steep price and a silent ride !! ;)

I have walked over South to North

If you ask at the shop / insurance point on the right between the SBA and the TC crossing point - they can order you a taxi - or just after you have crossed.
