Does any one no the drill to apply for permant residency?

I think it's after 5 years taht you can apply?

What do you need.

I have wondered about this, what is the advantage of being a permanent resident of this country, apart from paying the renewal every year.

Maybe a frontal labotomy is one of the criteria for getting it.

try asking at the police station they must know which office to go to.

I was told after 5 years but there is a fee of around £1,000 or more to get it, also someone on the forum stated that only 30% of Residents applying actually get it, so for me I will just do it every year who wants to pay out that sort of money and then get turned down, Not Me

Ok well thanks for all you points just to put you all right you can apply after 5 Years, it cost 1000 Ytl and it's permanant no need to keep going back every year, at present it cost 146Ytl to apply each year so after 6 years you will cover your money.

Perhaps it's not such a bad idea after all.

Can you double check the 1000ytl as we were told its more than £1,000 sterling and not all who apply get it, there is another posting on this forum about it. Many thanks for any info
