Facebook - I love it! it's very addictive though - even more so than Cyprus44. It's great for when I'm in Cyprus - I can post news & pictures for all my friends & family to see - saves me loads of time as don't have to type out loads of emails - just a quick session on Facebook to bring everyone up to date then I can get back on my deckchair! What's mob in mob wars???

A Top Neuroscientist has issued a warning to parents claiming that these sites can cause alarming changes in youngster brains, shorten attention span and make them self centered. Also makes them lack social skills away from a screen.

Hi to answer Maggie & Bernie, its a mafia style game, and I have a mob, people can join my mob, then you don't have to do anything. The more Mob members I have the better chance of winning the fights in the game.

its interesting that nobody refers on the business practices of facebook. just read the newest changes.... they keep all your datas, all your family and other pics, mails, messages, personal datas, email adresses, tel numbers, your social contacts, your private network, all the nice and bad things you wrote, your maybe secret datings you arranged, EVERYTHING YOU EVER sent via facebook and Facebokk will keep them FOREVER, even if you cancel your account and they will use them for their own purposes. in fact: they sell everything to the one who pays for it. Facebokk? a no go. Peter

Did you say Mob wars? or do yo mean Mafia Wars. i am addicted to that, level 38 now. I get rid of frustration/anger this way, just sucker punch a few mafia guys, feels so good. Say hi next time u see me there, "Big turk", whats your mafia name..? Oh , be careful about the big virus that came out in Facebook, "kobeworm". made a big mess of a few million peoples pc's.

Witchfinder how can you get someone to be part of your mafia group? I would love to know. Also a quick warning, whatever you do or not do on your site, it is open to everyone to see, its alarming how it found my bosses and all members of my family, anything I did or whatever site i would visit gets advertised on your main page and emailed to them. Very scary when you're not in control, god knows what else ti does, it will mail an invite to everyone on your mailing list and also look up their contacts and families and ask them too. Just be careful where you visit.

LILLI: "A Top Neuroscientist has issued a warning to parents claiming that these sites can cause alarming changes in youngster brains, shorten attention span and make them self centered. Also makes them lack social skills away from a screen." Put this into the context that the story was in the Daily Mail.

i think you should only give them information, that you don't mind sharing.. I suppose its like a tesco clubcard.. some people think their being spied on and some people just get money off their shopping. I wouldn't post my address or bank details on facebook, they have some 50 million members so they have alot of info.. its an advertising executives dream, but most of it totally useless!

From Wikipedia - In December 2008, the Supreme Court of the Australian Capital Territory ruled that Facebook is a valid protocol to serve court notices to defendants. It is believed to be the world's first legal judgment that defines a summons posted on Facebook to be legally binding. Hope nobody tells the RoC!!

kibsolar Msg 11 Facebook has since reverted to it's original terms & conditions. People only see all your business if you don't take the trouble to set your account up i.e privacy setting. If people took the trouble to read how to use the site properly it's great to use and share news & pictures with friends & family. The internet is marvellous but you need to use a bit of common sense!

msg 22 its not about people seeing your account. of course you can block that. its about facebook seeing your account and you gave permission to it. after agree to: "general terms and conditions of trade", facebook can use all the contents of your account. there is a battle between the facebook community and facebook of using account info for facebooks business purposes. facebook backed of for the moment, but data protection experts say that facebook introduces more and more "changes" to spy their customers out and sell the info to other "services" as Beacon. the "new" or "old" rules are an eyewash.
