A woman who just lost her job would also be out of pocket by thousands of dollars if it weren't for the honesty of a good Samaritan. Police said a man who found a bank bag full of money and cheques in a shopping center parking area over the weekend flagged down police and turned it over.

What would you do?

I would do exactly the same, but one has to wonder, why on earth was she walking around with a bag full of money?

I would hand it in.

A colleague and myself found a plastic bag under a chair in our clinic one day, and as occassionally patients accidently leave things behind we checked the bag and found it had approx £1000 in cash in it, we sent it to our cashiers office for safekeeping, the patient did ring the clinic in a panic thinking they had lost it, and if my memory serves me right the patient had withdrawn it to pay for a holiday.

i would hand it in.

years ago a friend of ours was waiting outside a telephone box to make a call.

he overheard the person using the phone who happened to be setting up a drug deal.

when the guy left, our mate went in and found the drug dealer had left his bag behind.

he then decide he didn't need to make a call and left with the dealers carrier bag.

he had 3k for free, with no intentions of giving it back.

i don't blame him for doing it.

in this kind of situation i would do the same.

Twisted logic in my view, either it's right or it's wrong, in these circumstances I would have handed it in to the police with a description of the person who left it. Not good to profit from peoples' misery. Leads to very bad Karma.

I don't blame your friend, but don't think it was right. Did he enjoy spending it?

i would hand it in -- no question , my son was only about 6yrs when he found a £100 in b&q one christmas , he gave it to the manager . The manager found the person who it belonged to who said thank-you to my son and went on his merry way . i aways thought how strange that was . If it was me i would have given a little something to encourage children that honesty is always the best policy . My husband by the would have done the same as me , but also said honesty should not have to be rewarded it's just the right thing to do ?

I would hand it in too. I left my purse in the phone booth by our local post office years ago, just after I had collected my family allowance. I was in an absolute panic when I got home. I rushed back and my purse was gone, but when I went into the post office, there it was, handed in by an honest soul. I thank God for that honesty and would never keep what wasn't mine.

if it ment that the drug dealer was out of pocket i don't think it is wrong.

the little old lady who looses her purse is a little different from an evil scumbag who poisons peoples kids.

I think honesty is honesty , whoever it may concern . if it did come from drug dealers , i would hand it in to the police . To keep it , well i would just be as bad as the drug dealers , the money would have come from misery . i could'nt cope with that .

Regards , Simbas
