Never heard of this Woody.

How does this work?

Is it like the Part Purchase scemes here in the UK where you only buy say 50% or 75% of the property outright?

A shared title deed can be issued on a plot that has not been parcellised. For example if there are 10 properties on 1 deed each owner can be issued with a 1/10th share of that deed in their name. As and when the plot is parcellised a full title deed in each owners name is then issued with its own plot number.

Thanks joandjelly....so is the builder/developer only a shareholder until such time as all the plots have been sold and the site parcellised?

Cronos - sorry I don't really understand what you mean by the builder being a shareholder. A plot of land cannot be parcellised until the whole site is completely finished with all services, roads and street lights. In this instance a shared deed can be issued and is what the locals usually get seeing as they don't have to have PTP.

Hector - you still have to have PTP to get a share deed.
