Morning folks, I am moving to Cyprus at the end of April and due to work getting in the way of my plans, have a very short time to go across and sort out blinds/curtains for my house. My question is, for those who have done this, roughly how long does it take from measuring to fitting???? I will have at most ten days including the weekend. I am hoping to at least get them measured and organized if nothing else but just wondered if it would be possible to have them fitted in that time?? Last time I did this in the UK it took 3 weeks but am just wondering how others have found these services. Thanks a lot

We got our curtains and blinds through The Curtain Shop in Kyrenia (via Joan Gillin). We did everything on line. She sent us a couple of samples of stuff we liked and then you look through photos on line as to what style you like and what curtain poles you fancy. They go along to your apartment/villa measure up and we literally just got to our apartment and they were all up for us. And then did an excellent job.

Thanks for all your recommendations, much appreciated. I know at least I can get things in motion before I come over which is brilliant. At this rate the house will definitely be ready to move into at the end of April when I head over, lock stock and 3 cats too! Thanks again for the help

| We also used Fiskos. Found them to be really good. They came out, measured everything, following day we went in to choose fabrics. Less than 10 days later everything was ready to hang. They will hold them to wait for you until you are ready to receive them or if you have a trusty neighbour then Fiskos will hang them in your absence and make any amendments to make sure they fit correctly. | hi We used IPEC and found them excellent, measured same day and if material was not available they were made ready for our next visit. Alterations if necessary will be done and were done very quickly same day for a couple of items. We didnt pay till finished and hung and that spanned two visits over 3 months. Great choice too. Let me know if you need location etc |

Hi We used a lady called Kay Hewson and she can be contacted at info@theyazadehouse.com - we arranged everything over the internet and the recent pictures sent to us of our newly kitted out apartment looks absolutely fabulous - I have no hesitation about recommending her. She kept us fully informed of progress throughout and I just cant wait to see it for real next week !!

We used Fiskos they are very helpful and reliable with a wide choice of furniture beds and linens and resonable prices. They turned up on time and were very tidy when they hung the curtains

We used Mermaid Fabrics (Ozankoy on the main Kyrenia road). They were fabulous - great service and quality and fitted all curtains and blinds. They even send one of their lads with an electric floor cleaning machine to clean all of the floors - which made a huge difference - before we moved our furniture in.
