I would be very surprised Paul, they are one of the better developers.

You know what rumours are like, someone said to me 'I've just heard a rumour you have an IQ of 300'

I said I know,I started it.

This is a perfect example as why you should investigate before making a post. Carringtons are indeed one of the better developers on the island.

Imagine how you would feel if you are buying from Carrington and you read this thread? I know you didnt mean any harm but i strongly believe that threads of this nature should not be allowed unless they can be backed up.

If you have a vested interest can you not contact them direct? I am sure they would be more than happy to tell you that they are not going down the pan. I am sorry if i am on the defensive, i have just seen how these threads have gone in the past and we will just get threads saying useful comments like '' another one bites the dust'' etc etc.

As a company Dave Miller of Warmlife Plumbing and Heating Ltd a personal friend of mine, has taken on 12 full heating and sold 10 fires to customers of Carringtons.Says possibly the only builder here to be riding the reccesion. These are all new build customers .With books like that I think that this rumour is a bad rumour.Engage mouth not brain seems to have beenthe order of the day.

I have no vested interest in Carringtons however I am a friend of Bryn. Just to reassure anyone that is troubled by this rumour, I spoke to Bryn on Saturday just casually asking him how was work his response was totally positive and upbeat. That came as no surprise and like others believe that Carringtons are one of the best companies in the TRNC.

The Forum Admins should delete posts such as message 1.

Lets hope for your sake dodger that Carringtons don't sue you 'cause they would be within their rights to do so.

I believe Carringtons have sold ok over the past few years and also think they are probably in a good position but they certainly aren't 'the only builder riding the recession' as your friend puts it! So your last sentence could also apply to you.

RE Kitty Kat Jac: (...) You see biker-babe has just proven my point.(...)

===> No. You proved your point yourself. Post # 1 is called rumour spreading, a malicious/stupid way of talking about things you don't know. A decent news paper will sack you for such behaviour.

RE msg 16, loving cyprus : (...) The Forum Admins should delete posts such as message 1. (...)

===> You are absolutely right. By the way: when was the last time on this board a Moderator showed he/she was still alive?!!

I'm going to close the thread now. Can I just add that Paul has apologised which I think says a lot about him. Well done Paul for apologising.

Dodger has apologised (msg 13) which in all fairness should be accepted.

In answer to DC's question.......the last time I looked there was a moderator whom I assume was alive in msg 4 of this thread.
