Where is the best place to change Currency in Girne? Last time I was there I used SUN RENTAL near Niazi;s. First time I was there I saw Mustafa with his suitcase sitting on the corner by the Army shop!

just get all the exchange shop numbers and give them a call first thing, then you see who has the best rate. without walking round and round.

If you are paying by cheque, you may find that you are being asked for an additional £2 per cheque, levied by the banks over here for handling the cheque.

I remember Sgt. Mustafa well. Used to sit with hundreds of pounds in an open suitcase - that was the only place to change money in those days there was the Cyprus Credit Bank in Nicosia. To think he never was robbed in all the years he sat there at the corner of the cross road in the High Street. I first say him there in 1978/9. He then opened a shop years later right opposite the Army Shop - he has now passed away.
